Are you a sh*tty mom? Thought that would get your attention. It sure got mine when Today Show producers, Alicia Ybarbo and Mary Ann Zoellner sent me a copy of their new book, Sh*tty Mom: The Parenting Guide for the Rest of Us. They co-authored the book with Emmy nominated writer Laurie Kilmartin and journalist/bestselling author, Karen Moline. Because Alicia and Mary Ann are friends of mine and two of my favorite speakers, I thought I would give you a totally unbiased overview of this super funny book by sharing some of the reviews I found:
“I have to admit that I was less than thrilled about the title… I believed myself to be a good parent….but had to admit that babies and children do not come with an instruction manual. It was because of that that I chose to review this book. It was hilarious… a humorous group of anecdotes at how to survive life with a baby in the house.”
“Having 4 children… this book cracked me up. A very tongue in cheek approach… I do remember the alarm going off early enough on a Saturday morning to make the 8 AM soccer game, and thinking, “Is he/she EVEN going to play today? ” A great read for seasoned and new parents alike!”
