Hi all, we have a wonderful nanny Lwando to recommend. We were actually hoping to hire her full time last September but she had to delay her start date and our timing didn’t line up. She helped us for a few weeks before we went on vacation in the summer. She was originally recommended to me from an UES moms group and had really great references.
She has strong focus on early childhood education, calm and great with kids. My baby daughter and her had an instant connection (and she’s really picky!) She had so many great ideas for playing with her, singing to her and teaching her things from an early age- she was way more than a caregiver.
She was able to coach me through all the questions I had as a first time mom from size of bottle nipples to nap schedules and milestones. That was of huge importance to us as we felt that we needed some education as first time parents. She has been a career nanny and been long term with all of her prior families so very reliable and trustworthy.
She is ready to start immediately, and would prefer full time role.
Wilma is the most patient and trustworthy addition to our family. We have been with her for 4 years and she is such a stable and loving presences for us. She handles our two kids ages 4 and 8, moves them around the city, and has loved them since my youngest was only a couple of weeks old. She leaves the house very clean and organized for us when we come home. I would love to help her find a new family.
Cherry has been integral to raising our two boys from birth to ages 2 and almost 5, respectively. During her time with our family, Cherry has been an invaluable part of our household and has had a tremendous impact on the growth and development of our sons. Cherry is exceptionally warm, dependable, and thoughtful. We have always been able to count on her completely, whether for daily routines, unexpected schedule changes, or the various responsibilities involving the care of two young children. She consistently demonstrates professionalism, optimism, and a calm, steady presence that gives us full peace of mind as parents.
Most importantly, Cherry is deeply devoted to the children in her care. She has formed a loving and nurturing bond with our kids and has played a meaningful role in fostering their emotional, social, and intellectual development. She is always positive and brings a sense of humor to her interactions with our sons. She takes genuine interest in our children’s personalities, needs, and evolving interests. She thoughtfully creates opportunities for learning, creativity, and growth through everyday activities and interactions.
Cherry is patient, caring, and responsible, always ensuring the children feel safe, supported, and encouraged. Whether helping with routines, engaging them in educational, creative, or sports activities, or simply seeing to their daily needs, she approaches every aspect of her role with warmth, pride, and dedication.
Over the past 5 years, Carmen has been a wonderful nanny to our two daughters. She started when my oldest daughter was three months old and was immediately a kind and loving presence in our daughter’s lives. She is nurturing, calm, and gentle with all children. I have always felt so comfortable knowing that my daughters were with Carmen and I didn’t need to worry about them.
Carmen has extensive experience with kids (babies, toddlers, elementary) as well as on the upper east and west sides. She is a big believer in fresh air and is always getting the girls out of the apartment, to parks, playgrounds, museums, zoos and more. She is great about making friends with other nannies to make sure the girls have lots of playdates. We actually met close family friends through the other kids she introduced my daughter to around the neighborhood.
We are so sad to lose Carmen now that my kids are going to be in school full time. We hope she lands with a warm family in the area.
Please reach out with any questions, I am happy to chat.
Positing to help my lovely nanny to find a new position since we are relocating. Nisha has been with us for 3 years since our daughter was 6 months old. Nisha is always on time and assumes her position without handholding. She is incredibly loving, kind, caring and has a very quiet, calm demeanor. When working from home I would hear her laughter with our daughter throughout the day. I’m highly recommending her! She is looking g for a full-time position with a newborn or toddler. Please feel free to reach out to her directly (646-286-3654) or me (562-269-8109)
Kami has been with us for the past two years and has truly become part of our family. She is kind, nurturing, patient, playful, intelligent, and mindful. She has been wonderful with both of our children and is equally comfortable caring for infants and toddlers, alike.
She drives and has helped us with school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as outings with our toddler to the library, playground, and playdates. Kami is dependable, engaged, and genuinely enjoys spending time with the children in her care.
She is local to North Merrick and would love to find something in the area (Merrick, Bellmore, or up the Meadowbrook around Garden City). She’s looking for part-time (approximately 5 hours a day, with availability between 8am and 4pm), ideally four days per week.
One important note: because she has allergies, a home with furry pets would not be the right fit.
We are so sad to lose her as our youngest transitions to full-time camp/school, but we would be thrilled to see her land with another warm local family.
I do not often write recommendations, but I am truly happy to share this one.
If you want a nanny who is loving, dependable, and highly experienced, I recommend Theresa. She has over 20 years of experience caring for children.
While working for us, Theresa became a trusted part of our family. She is patient, warm, and very reliable. She connects easily with kids while providing great structure and guidance. Each day, she creates a perfect balance of fun learning and creative play.
What we love most is her genuine care. We always knew our child was safe and loved. Theresa always goes above and beyond, which gave us complete peace of mind. Any family would be lucky to have Theresa. We are so grateful for her time with us. We know she will bring the same kindness and professionalism to your home.

I would like to recommend Faye, who worked with our family for more than seven years as a nanny and household caregiver. During that time, she cared for our two boys from early childhood until they were 12 and 9 years old. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have had her as such an important part of our family.
Faye cared for our children with remarkable dedication, kindness, and patience. She treated them as if they were her own, providing not only attentive supervision but also genuine love, encouragement, and support. She helped them with homework, ensured they stayed on top of their responsibilities, and safely transported them to and from school, activities, and appointments. We were very grateful for her calm and dependable nature.
As the kids got older, In addition to her childcare responsibilities, Faye also helped with our household. She assisted with cooking, laundry, grocery shopping, and maintaining an organized home.
What sets Faye apart most is the deep bond she formed with our family. Over the years, she became much more than an employee—she became family. Her commitment to our children and our family as a whole left a lasting impact on all of us.
Our decision to part ways with Faye was solely due to our relocation out of state. If we had remained in the area, we would have been thrilled to continue having her as part of our family.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information.
Shalini
Our amazing nanny, Sharon who has been with our family for almost two years, will be available in September as we transition him to Montessori school. My son was a NICU baby, who also came 3 weeks early making it one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. Sharon made that decision easy. We interviewed many nannies before meeting Sharon, and I knew immediately, the way she picked him up and she held him like he was her own. I think she forgot we were asking her questions, her and Leo were just instantly bonded! (He also fell asleep in her arms, and he was not a good sleeper!).
A few things that make Sharon truly one of a kind:
1. Loving, caring and she really takes pride in raising her children. She truly loves my son. You’ll hear her say “Nana Baby!” In referring to all her prior children. Sharon has built a real community around the families she’s worked with and the children she’s raised. She still keeps in touch with her prior, including the oldest who is 21 and texts her to check-in.
2. Immaturely clean and very tidy. She is very clean and keeps my son’s room and laundry organized and clean
3. Always early – she has never been late once. In the last year Sharon has arrived early at least 20-30 minutes early. When I had planned surgery and needed her at 7AM, Sharon came 30 minutes early even then
4. Excellent with socializing and teaching my son independence. She is excellent with teaching manners, and helping with socialization. I was always worried about if he’d get enough socialization and activities, and Sharon was so great in meeting other nannies, creating community for my son with his friends.
5. Always willing to take my son to activities! Sharon is so flexible with taking my son to his classes, MyGym, library story time, indoor playgrounds, even when things are far 25-35 minutes walk and more.
Aloma has been with our family for 10 incredible years.
There truly are not enough words to describe how special she is. She has been so much more than a nanny. She has been a second mom to my daughters and one of the most important people in our lives. When my kids are with her, I never question for a second that they are loved, safe, nurtured, and treated like they are her very own.
In 10 years, not once have I caught her distracted on her phone or anything other than fully engaged with my children. She is constantly playing with them, arranging playdates, planning outings, reading, crafting, teaching, and creating magic in their everyday lives. She is patient, loving, attentive, dependable, and truly one of a kind.
Every one of my children’s teachers over the years has commented on how amazing she is and how lucky we are to have her. She has helped shape my children into the kind, respectful little humans they are today, and I will forever be grateful for the love and care she poured into our family.
She would love to start with a newborn and a family she can grow with. She will be available starting in August.
Our beloved nanny, Ann, is looking for her next family in September (dates flexible – earlier start possible). We’ve worked with Ann since November 2022 and sadly have to say goodbye as our youngest child will be starting school.
Over nearly 4 years, Ann has become a member of our family. She began working with us when our daughter was just over 3 months and then took on our second with ease – so she has lots of experience with newborns and infants, all the way up through elementary and beyond.
But more than the amount of time she has been a nanny (which is ~25 years), Ann protected and loved our children with her whole heart. She grew with our family and supported us at every step, from early infant sleep struggles, cleaning pump bottles, toddler tantrums, sibling conflicts to preschool/friendship quandaries.
Ann is more than a babysitter who will take kids to classes; she is a professional who is fully invested in your child’s growth and development. She actively reads to children and has taught both our children their ABCs, colors, numbers and so much more. People in our community love her, from our neighbors, fellow parents, to librarians; we’ve only received wonderful feedback about how attentive she is to our kids.
Please reach out to me at 929 768 2234 if interested!
Working with Nerisia has been an absolute dream for the last 3.5 years. Nerisia approaches every day with kindness, energy, and adventure. She is fantastic with newborns and has supported our daughter’s development from 6 weeks through all of her major milestones. She has organized her meals every day, done laundry each week for both of our kids, and has curated exciting daily adventures around New York City. She has organized a wonderful playgroup for our daughter and even arranged and decorated her birthday parties. Whether it was picnics, playdates, museums, or rainy day art activities, Nerisia has always ensured that our daughter’s day was structured and engaging.
Nerisia brings immense joy and warmth to her interactions with children, making her a truly exceptional professional. As an excellent communicator, she ensures that we are aligned in our approach to instilling strong values and manners in our children, demonstrating them herself. Her dedication to our children’s education is evident in her willingness to help with homework and teaching our three-year-old her letters. Beyond her unwavering commitment, Nerisia is also incredibly thoughtful, reliable, and punctual. Our entire family regards Nerisia and her family as an integral part of our own, and she will remain a cherished member of our lives long after she finds another family to work with.
We would be thrilled to answer any questions about Nerisia.
I’m happy to provide a reference for our nanny, who was with our family for the past eight months. During her time with us, she was consistently reliable, always arriving on time and maintaining a dependable schedule, which we truly appreciated.
As a first-time mom returning to work, it was very important for me to feel comfortable leaving my son in someone else’s care. She helped make that transition easier, and I always felt that my son was safe and well cared for while I was away.
She was also very consistent with household support, including keeping up with our laundry and helping with day-to-day tasks around the home. She always cleaned up after our son and kept his spaces organized, which made a big difference in our daily routine.
In addition, she regularly attended classes and activities both within our building and in the community. Through this, she helped our son socialize and build connections, creating a small circle of familiar friends for him, which we really valued.
Over time, she became a steady and familiar presence in our home and a part of our family’s routine. She was responsible, trustworthy, and maintained a consistent level of care throughout her employment.
We’re grateful for the support she provided our family and would recommend her to another family seeking a reliable and dependable caregiver.
Our nanny is becoming available and I honestly cannot recommend her enough. She has over 25 years of experience, including previous baby nurse experience, so she is especially amazing with newborns. She cooks, cleans for the kids, and keeps everything organized. She also keeps the children very active and engaged, taking them to Gymboree, the library, the park, and playdates. She is loving, patient, dependable, and truly helped shape my children into the polite kids they are today. Any family would be lucky to have her.

It is bittersweet to pass on our lovely nanny Laurely. She has been a wonderful presence in our family’s life for the past year but with my youngest starting school in the Fall, we no longer need her full-time help.
What stands out most about Laurely is her calm, steady nature. No matter what the day brings—tantrums, schedule changes, sick kids, or the general chaos that comes with family life—she remains completely unflappable. She has a wonderful ability to stay calm under pressure and create a sense of stability for everyone around her.
She is also exceptionally flexible and accommodating. Whether we needed her to come earlier, stay later, or adjust plans at the last minute, she was always willing to help and did so graciously. We always knew we could rely on her.
Most importantly, she clearly finds so much joy in spending time with children. She always shares stories from their day, observations about their development and reasons she loves the boys.
She has been a gift to our family, and we would love to help her find a new family who will appreciate her as much as we do.
STOP SCROLLING: INCREDIBLE NANNY AVAILABLE đź’«
My wonderful nanny Heather is available to join another family part-time and I would love to connect you! She has been with our family since my son was 3 mths old (he’s now 9.5 months) and I’m so happy to have found her (through a mommybites rec!).
Heather has 25 years of nanny experience and is such a gentle, nurturing, and caring addition to our home! I work from home freelance and it’s been such a joy to have her with me to help care for our baby.
The important deets:
– Schedule/Availability: We use Heather 20 hours a week, Monday through Thursday, 1pm – 6pm each day. An ideal situation would be for us to keep this schedule, but I am flexible either ad-hoc (as things arise) or if a later start is needed on our end. It’s preferable that we find someone who wants her for 15-30 hours a week in the mornings Monday through Thursday, with the option to use her all day on Fridays (we don’t use her on Friday).
8am – 12pm M-Thurs and 8am – anytime Friday would be great for her! As mentioned, though, I am freelance so can easily adjust our schedule weekly if needed. I’m excited to find another family to coordinate with!
– Location: We are based in the Financial district and Heather lives in Park Slope, so anyone in the following areas would be best: Lower Manhattan (Tribeca, Battery Park, Soho, LES, Financial District, Fulton/Seaport), Brooklyn (Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Dumbo)
Feel free to reach out to me and I can connect you 🙂
Dada started working for our family in December of 2021. We had just welcomed our first son, William. I had extremely high standards and didn’t find the right person, until Dada. From the second I met Dada, I knew she was the person for us. I felt an instant connection and sense of trust with her. Dada has 20+ yrs of experience with children and exudes confidence. She walked into our home and immediately knew what to do. She helped me with sleep schedule, feeding and most importantly social and cognitive development. I was able to return to work and knew that my son was receiving exceptional care and with someone who cared deeply for him. They quickly became best friends.
Dada is very savvy and knows how to navigate the city. She finds play dates, parks, classes, libraries, etc. some of our close friends, we found through Dada. She set up play dates with nannies and eventually we got to know the parents and formed a relationship.
Dada understands the importance of reading to children. Every night when I would come home from work, I would find them reading books. My son has developed a strong passion for reading. Again, she is extremely active and engaged in the child’s development.
I gave birth again, shortly after William. I eventually stopped working to be home full time and Dada and I divided and conquered with the boys.
Both of my children had an instant connection and love for Dada. My youngest is a strong willed, active and independent baby and now toddler. Dada was the perfect fit for him. Again, she knows how to handle all types of children and help guide them and their behavior. My boys have always listened to Dada, she has a true gift!
Dada is extremely dependable, reliable and professional. She takes her job very seriously and has an amazing work ethic. Safety is always her number one priority. I trust her more than anyone with my children. She is extremely loving, caring and warm. I would often hear her saying good morning my love. She is a true gem and irreplaceable. She had had a profound impact on my boys and me. She helped me in so many ways and ultimately made me a better mother.
My family and I recently moved to CT and although I wish terribly that she could come with us, she has a beautiful family in NJ and needs to be with them and can’t commute to CT. Please reach out to me for more information. I could go on and on about our beautiful relationship and experience with Dada. You can also reach out to Dada at 917-971-9308.
Rolande has worked with us for 5.5 years taking care of our now 7 yr old, 6 yr old, and 3 yr. old. She started when my 2nd was just 6 months and proved herself very capable of managing three young children. She helped us with school pick-up and drop-off both within Manhattan and when we moved up to Westchester County. She pays close attention to the children and has always kept them safe.
She is independently capable and very proactive in finding activities for the children by making playdates, finding local activities, taking the kids to the playground, and going to the library. Rolande managed the timing of naps, school pickups, snacks, etc. without blinking an eye. The kids feel very close to her and really enjoy spending time with her.
She is multilingual and we appreciated that she spoke French to our children, but she is also a fluent English speaker. She was always on time and very communicative with my husband and I to coordinate care, activities, and share photos of the kids’ adventures of the day. She helped our kids with getting out the door in the morning and prepared their lunches. Even though housekeeping was not part of her responsibility, she often found little ways to help clean up the kitchen or sweep up the kids crumbs. She always left things in better shape than when she arrived without us having to ask her.
She occasionally babysat for us in the evenings or on the weekend when it worked out for everyone’s schedules. When she did, she had no problem getting the kids fed, bathed, and into bed on time. We have really appreciated having her and are reluctantly letting her go because our kids will all be in school next year.
Our amazing previous nanny, Stephie, will shortly be available for a new family, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Stephie was a phenomenal addition to our family since day one, and our kids are still incredibly happy to have her in our lives. She worked with us as a live-in nanny from 2023 up until mid-2025 when our family relocated to Connecticut. Another family was lucky enough to scoop her up for the past year, but since they are also relocating out of the city, she is back on the market!
To say Stephie is capable is a massive understatement. When she started with us, she managed our 4, 3, and 1 year old with absolute grace. During her time with us, she not only guided them through major milestones until they were 7, 6, and 4, but she also cared for our newborn until she was a year old. Juggling the schedules, energy, and needs of four young children takes a very special level of organization, patience, and love and she did it flawlessly.
She is proactive, deeply caring, and becomes a true extension of the family. If you are looking for someone who can handle the beautiful chaos of multiple children or just want peace of mind knowing your little ones are in the best hands, Stephie is your person.

We have been fortunate to have Isabel, an incredible, loving, and caring nanny, looking after our little one since he was 4months old. She immediately became an integral part of our family – building a wonderful bond with our baby boy and earning our complete trust.
Isabel is warm, attentive, completely reliable, and genuinely passionate about childcare. She has played a critical role in our baby’s development – always engaging him with patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. Knowing he was in her care gave us complete peace of mind & a ton of confidence!
We are only posting this /parting ways because our family is moving abroad. Otherwise, we would keep Isabel with us for years, without hesitation.
We cannot recommend her more highly to any family seeking a trustworthy, experienced, and loving nanny. Any child would be lucky to have her!
If you are looking for a nanny or would like more information, please feel free to reach out!
She could be available starting August.
She’s a fluent Spanish speaker and very good speaker of English (we don’t speak much Spanish and that was never a problem) – and is able to travel with families!
