Our nanny Silvia will become available this summer (mid-July) and is looking for a full-time job. Silvia has worked as our daughter’s full time nanny for the past year and a half. Silvia is kind-hearted, patient and experienced. She is trustworthy and shows up on time. She arranges playdates for our daughter and transports her to and from her various activities. Silvia sends us texts and photos during the day so that we know our daughter has arrived safely at her activities. Our daughter is now 7 years old and has matured significantly over the time Silvia has been with us. Our daughter is much more independent and knows how to respect and follow rules. Silvia has completed child/infant CPR class and completed nanny training workshops at Cornell University Workers Institute.
WONDERFUL nanny available! Our son absolutely loves Dina! There is a special affection between them. We have worked with her for the past 1 yr 9 mo. but sadly, our needs have changed with our youngest heading into a full day of preschool. We are invested in helping Dina find her next family!
Dina has a calm, steady way about her; always patient, gentle, and warm. I have never once seen Dina lose her cool. She is kind, caring and quick to smile. She is expert at getting our 3 yr old out of the apt., often taking him on full day adventures to playgrounds, libraries, and playdates.
She is a native Spanish speaker and my kids have become fluent with her help.
Beyond taking excellent care of our kids, Dina is endlessly helpful in making sure our home is clean and tidy, doing laundry, preparing healthy meals etc. She is one of the hardest working people I know. She always finds a way to bring order and happiness to our home. We are so grateful to her!
Our wonderful former nanny, Yvonne Brissett, is looking for her next long-term family. Yvonne was a true partner to my husband and me in raising our child. She made it possible for us to balance demanding careers with parenting—giving us total peace of mind that our little one was safe, happy, and thriving.
From day one, Yvonne made our child her top priority. She became deeply attuned to their needs and encouraged independence, curiosity, and learning. She celebrated milestones, engaged in real (not baby talk) conversations, and created a joyful, loving environment.
Beyond her exceptional care, Yvonne was a joy to have in our home. She’s energetic, funny, and professional. She traveled with us frequently—both with our child and when we needed care while traveling solo.
A few additional highlights:
20+ years of experience as a career nanny, with a background in hospitality—she’s warm, polished, and communicative
Extremely reliable and punctual—critical for us with our long and often unpredictable work hours
Flexible and accommodating—always willing to stay late or adjust plans on short notice
Goes above and beyond on household tasks—handled all child-related chores and more (dishes, tidying, grocery runs, tracking supplies like diapers and wipes)
Development-focused—suggested toys and activities to support learning, read regularly with our child, and encouraged language development from an early stage
An excellent communicator with family and community—kept grandparents updated with photos and FaceTimes, and built friendly relationships with others in our daily life like our housekeeper and doormen
Yvonne is hoping to find a loving, long-term family. Please feel free to reach out to her directly—or I’m happy to answer any questions or chat further about our experience.
We no longer need full time help, so unfortunately are parting ways with our wonderful nanny, Hermi. She has worked with us for 3 months, but has quickly made an impression and easily got a handle on our 9 month old\’s routine and needs. She is so sweet and loving with our baby, she sings and dances, is energetic, engaging, cautious, and protective while out and about – you will never have to worry about your baby\’s safety while in her care. Our baby absolutely lights up when she arrives for the day and tries to follow her out the door when she leaves. I always hear them laughing and playing in the other room and it\’s been so sweet to see their bond grow, even in this short amount of time that she has worked with us. Hermi is great with babies, caring, and eager to please, and she always leaves our home neater than when she found it. She has handled everything from taking our daughter to classes and playdates, coaching me through starting solids, shopping for and making our daughter\’s food, doing our daughter\’s laundry, and alerting me to things that need attention. I would love to find her a great family to work with. She is based in Jersey City but commutes to us in Manhattan, so she is open to a variety of locations. Please reach out to me if you have any questions, or feel free to get in touch with her directly.
I am writing to strongly recommend our nanny Edith. Edith has been with us for over three years and has become an integral part of our family. She started with us to care for our toddler and infant, and she has seamlessly transitioned from caring for our two young children to nurturing our now three children. Edith fiercely loves our children, creates community in the neighborhood, and keeps our children safe. She is attentive to our children\’s needs and to ours. Edith has rarely asked for time away, and when she does, she will try to accommodate our schedule and children\’s needs as best as she can. We are sad to part ways with Edith, but we will be moving out of the city, which is too far for her to commute. If she could commute to our future home, we would keep her.
It is my honor to enthusiastically recommend Verena Awaye as a Nanny. Verena has been with our family for the last 4 years. My kids are ages 4 and 2, and she has been with us since our oldest was 4 months old. We are moving out of NYC this summer, which is why Verena will be available and is looking for a new position. Verena is loving, supportive, caring, and reliable.
Love – It is obvious to see how much Verena loves my children. From the moment she started working with us, my kids have loved her and gravitated towards her. Almost immediately after starting, my kids would smile whenever she came over each morning…and every day since!! Her love for kids is obvious, and evident throughout all that she has done for my kids for the last 4 years.
Development – As first time parents we were learning on the go, and Verena\’s considerable experience and deep knowledge of child development and infant care became an invaluable resource to us.
Education – Reading to the children is very important to Verena. Everyday she reads many books to the children. She has taught them how to pronounce words, she has helped them with their ABCs, and explained the meaning of new words to them.
Meals – Verena made home-cooked baby food and purees from scratch for my kids. She cooks delicious meals for my children, and is always teaching and reinforcing good manners and how to be polite and respectful during meals.
Reliability – Verena is incredibly reliable. In four years, she has never arrived late to our home in the morning. Additionally, I can count on one hand the number of unplanned sick days off that she took (and those are because my kids were the cause of her being sick). She was always very flexible and willing to stay late or work extra time if needed.
Play – Verena has worked in Brooklyn for many years and knows several neighborhoods quite well. She is proactive at finding playdates, activities and story time for my kids. Additionally, she takes the kids out to the playground as much as possible, and is always incredibly attentive when they are playing outside.
We will miss her very much; We know that Verena will be an amazing addition to your family. Please feel free to reach out to me if you are interested!
Pema is an incredible asset to any family. She radiates warmth with a bright smile and calm demeanor that immediately resonated with our daughter. Pema is fun, imaginative, highly communicative and organized and she manages to balance soft kindness with firmness and structure. Pema and our daughter are always having fun together, constantly playing, giggling and truly enjoying one another\’s company. We were particularly impressed with Pema\’s proactivity in organizing our daughter\’s schedule, arranging play dates, trips to art galleries or museums, she has a finger on the pulse of new and interesting spaces for kids and is always befriending other nannies within our community and making new connections. Pema is an exceptional communicator, she sends daily picture updates of what they\’ve been up to. Our daughter arrives home each evening in a wonderful mood. Pema is also a safe and confident driver, which we found very helpful in taking the children to various activities, and school pick up. Pema is incredibly trustworthy and as a mother herself she\’s sensitive, loving and deeply adores children. Pema came highly recommended through friends of ours and has been a joy to work with for the past 12 months, sadly with Kindergarten beginning in the fall, we have to now say goodbye. Pema has been an undeniable asset to our family and we know she will be to yours. We feel strongly about helping her find another wonderful, loving family and are happy to chat anytime to answer any additional questions. She\’s looking for a full time role to commence immediately.
Liliana cared for our baby Noah who is now 16 months old for 7 months until he started daycare and she was absolutely exceptional. We didn\’t want him to start daycare when he was 5 months so Liliana was a big help for us during those months until her turned 1. She is so dependable, warm, and has such a calming presence, Noah adores her. She helped him progress with sitting and crawling. She spent a lot of time singing and reading to him. Even now once in a while when she has time she helps on a weekend or evening to take care of Noah and he loves loves loves her.
My husband and I would have loved to continue with Liliana but Noah had been admitted after waiting a year to a very selective daycare. Deferring admission would have moved us to back of the wait list.
While caring for him, Liliana prepared all his food, kept everything related to him clean and organized. She also helped with light tidying around the apartment. She mostly speaks Spanish but understands some English. I don\’t speak Spanish but I was able to communicate with her using basic English and when that was not enough using one of the many instant translation apps there are. My husband speaks Spanish but he was always at work so I interacted with her 95% of the time with no issues. I even got to learn some Spanish which was a big plus for me.
We were so grateful to find her when we were desperate for a nanny and she was able to find another family after Noah for a few months but now that baby is also starting daycare so she is looking for another family. We recommended her to them and they are absolutely happy but also sad that their baby has to start daycare and can\’t be cared by Liliana anymore. I know that family would be more than happy to provide a second amazing recommendation of Liliana also.
We’re so lucky to have had Selma in our lives for the past 8 years. She’s a fun, nurturing, and incredibly experienced nanny with over 30 years of caring for children. Selma came into our lives when I was a first-time mom returning to work—an emotional and nerve-wracking time. From day one, she made the transition so much easier with her calm, warm presence and deep love for children.
Selma never once made me feel like an overbearing new mom. She was always understanding, empathetic, and supportive. She became a true partner in raising our daughter—offering guidance, encouragement, and so much care.
She kept our daughter’s days full of learning, adventure, and joy—whether they were out exploring the city, playing at the park, or enjoying playdates. She always found creative ways to keep her engaged and helped nurture her independence in the most thoughtful ways.
Selma is more than a nanny—she became part of our family. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her. She brings not only experience and reliability, but a genuine love that shines through in everything she does.
Sil is wonderful caretaker and a collaborative partner to us in providing care for our daughter.
Sil is great with newborns and is a terrific source of support in those early hectic days. Sil joined us in November 2020, in the height of the Covid pandemic. At that time, our daughter, who was born prematurely, was still quite small and vulnerable. Sil diligently followed the detailed schedule of every 2 hour feedings, giving supplements, thawing breast milk, giving baths, and putting down for naps. She was a loving presence; she talked, sang, gave massages, cuddled and rocked. As I returned to full time work, she helped with everything from making sure I stayed hydrated and washing pumping equipment.
Sil is active and hands-on. She is extremely creative, and loves to work on art and crafts, do puzzles, and tell stories. And she is great about finding activities and making connections. She makes walks to the supermarket, pharmacy, or the neighborhood chickens into fun learning opportunities. She developed a relationship with the child librarian who kept her abreast of all the activities. As a result, our daughter was a regular participant in everything, from storytime to kid yoga.
Sil is patient, kind, and accommodating, implementing a wide variety of strategies to help our daughter feel comfortable and take part in her activities. Together, they have successfully navigated art, ballet, gymnastics, and birthday parties.
As we prepare for full-time school in the next few months, thinking about saying goodbye to Sil is bittersweet; we’ll miss having her around every day, but she has been instrumental in us getting to this point.
After 5 years working with Cita we are moving out of NYC, and want to help find her an awesome new family to take care of. We cannot recommend her enough!! Cita has been exactly what our family needed – guiding us through parenthood with our first born and helping to build harmony around the house as we welcomed our second. Cita started when our (now) kindergartner was 8 months old, and within the last year she has seamlessly expanded her duties to care for our infant son who just turned 1. Our 5 year old daughter can be sassy and bossy, but we get SO many compliments from other parents and teachers who meet her about how honest, well-mannered, and interactive she is. We attribute a lot of this to Cita and how she has helped raise her over the years. Our daughter has made several friends around the neighborhood through Cita, as she has organized playdates (including trips to places like Coney Island, or Central Park) with other nannies and kids her age. Our daughter has severe allergies to multiple foods and she travels around the city with Cita to school + medical appointments daily/weekly. We trust Cita 100% to look out for our kids and keep them safe. Our 12 month old lights up whenever Cita comes in the room first thing in the morning. She sings to him, talks to him constantly, takes him to the library for story time and the park, and enjoys mat time with him. They are so happy together, and I can tell Cita is really in her element taking care of him. She is like an extended part of our family, and has relationships with my mom (she facetimes the grandparents sometimes on her own so the kids can say ‘Hi’). Cita also recently came to our daughter’s ballet recital on her day off just to support her. Cita is reliable – on time, hardly misses a day of work, and flexible if you’re running late or need her to start early once in a while. I’m happy to talk with you further if you’re interested! Shoot me a text or email.
We are privileged to have had Johanna as our nanny and a member of our family for over 12 years. During this time, Johanna helped us raise our three kids (17-year-old twin son and daughter (since they were 5) and our 12-year-old daughter from birth). She was equally skilled in the infant, toddler, preschool, kid and teen stages and has forged independent relationships with each of our children that have been critical to their development and well-being.
Johanna has been responsible for all aspects of childcare including cooking healthy and family-friendly meals, bathing, nap schedules, school drop-offs, homework and doctors’ appointments. She shuttled our three kids (and their friends) all over the five boroughs and for various activities. Johanna has worn many hats over the years to make our lives easier — from meal planning to homework helper to laundry to neighborhood errands. She is also a master Lego builder, board game player, motivator, sports game referee, baker, hair and clothing stylist, closet organizer and shopper.
While we have always partnered to set reasonable and consistent routines and expectations for our kids, Johanna has always implemented our plans respectfully. She has impeccable instincts and judgment and can be firm when needed but also knows just when a spontaneous ice cream outing is called for. She also often communicated with our children’s teachers on our behalf and is the best class trip chaperone!
Johanna is incredibly responsible, trustworthy and hard-working while also being fun and caring. She is a very warm person and is easy to be with. She traveled with our family many times, lived with us during the summers and bonded with our children’s grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also super friendly and outgoing. She organized individual and group playdates and made sure our kids had a good mix of socialization and downtime. Our children’s friends (and their parents) were always happy to see Johanna at pick up and were thrilled to have Johanna supervising playdates at our home or at the playground.
During the time that Johanna has worked with us, I have been a stay-at-home mom, a mom that worked part-time from home and a mom that worked out of the home and Johanna has been able to navigate each of these situations comfortably. When I am home, we divide and conquer childcare and household needs and when I am at work or traveling, I have tremendous confidence that Johanna has everything under control and most importantly that my children are safe, well-cared for and loved. Whether we were making baby food together, packing the kids for a vacation or sleepaway camp, organizing after-school schedules or comforting a child after a tough day at school, we are truly a team.
Johanna is a gem, and any family would be beyond lucky to have her care for their children. I simply cannot say enough in a few paragraphs about Johanna and what she has meant (and continues to mean) to our entire family. Please contact me at any time for additional information.
We’re moving out of the city and sadly parting ways with our incredible nanny, Kami, who has been with our family for the past 5 years. She’s helped raise our two daughters (now 3 and 5) and has been with us since my oldest was just 4 months old. Kami is deeply caring, patient, and experienced – truly a part of our family – and we’re hoping to help her find a wonderful new family to work with.
Kami played such a pivotal role in our early parenting years: from reading and singing to the girls, to guiding us through every stage – potty training, transitioning to solids, and all the daily routines of caring for little ones. She’s proactive, dependable, and has a natural bond with children. She’s also great at arranging playdates and keeping the kids socially engaged, which has been a huge help!
My girls absolutely adore her, and any family would be lucky to have her warmth and experience. She’s available starting as early as mid August.
We are moving out of New York, so our amazing nanny Bobita aka Bobby, is looking for her next family on the Upper East Side.
Bobby is THE sweetest, kindest, most loving nanny and treats our 18-month-old daughter like her own. She cooks all of her meals, keeps everything clean and organized, does all of her laundry, bathes her, plays with her, reads to her, and takes her on walks, playdates, to the playground, and classes, etc. Bobby is so responsible and attentive. We don’t have to worry at all when our daughter is in her hands – we know that she is so well taken care of!
Our daughter absolutely loves Bobby and is at her happiest when she sees her walking through the door in the mornings. She has such an amazing energy and spirit, and it’s easy to see how much she enjoys taking care of children. She’s just a pleasure to be around.
We are so sad that our time with Bobby is coming to an end, but we want to find her a wonderful next family! She is a very experienced nanny, who came to us with the most glowing references from all of her former families. The only reason they couldn’t keep Bobby on as a nanny is because they were also moving out of state.
Bobby will be with us through our move out on August 1. She is looking for a full-time position taking care of ONE infant or toddler 14 months or younger on the Upper East Side. If that sounds like the right fit, please reach out to her at 347-923-1048.
Our amazing nanny GG will be available this August, and we wholeheartedly recommend her!
She’s been with our family for a year and a half, caring for our 4.5 and 3-year-old children with calm, confidence, and joy. From day one, the kids bonded with her instantly – it felt like they had known her forever. Watching them laugh and play together as a happy team led by GG has been truly special.
GG is incredibly punctual, reliable, and organized. She lives on the UES and was never late or unavailable. We can’t recall a time she missed a day unexpectedly. The only rare request? Leaving early to catch a Broadway show – her one big passion (along with Disney, which the kids adore!).
She’s also a fantastic photographer, capturing the sweetest daily moments. Thanks to her, we have a treasure trove of beautiful photos and always felt connected to our kids’ day.
We are so grateful for her and will miss her dearly. Please feel free to contact us for a reference or more details!
It is with immense gratitude—and no small amount of sadness—that I share this recommendation for our extraordinary nanny, Magdalena. As our family prepares to relocate this summer, we must part ways with someone who has become not only an integral part of our daily lives, but also a true member of our family.
Magdalena has been with us since our son Sebi was just three months old. Over the past three years, she has helped raise him with unwavering love, care, and intention. It’s difficult to put into words just how transformative her presence has been—not just for Sebi, but for us as new parents. From day one, Magdalena has been everything we could have hoped for in a caregiver: deeply nurturing, exceptionally reliable, endlessly patient, and completely trustworthy. She brings her whole heart to this work, and it shows in every interaction.
Sebi absolutely lights up when she walks through the door (always on time), and their days together have been filled with joy, structure, learning, and adventure. From early stroller walks to hours spent at playgrounds, sprinklers, museums, libraries, and the zoo, Magdalena has created a vibrant, stimulating, and loving world for Sebi to grow up in. She also fostered a beautiful community of fellow nannies and children, many of whom are now Sebi’s closest friends.
In addition to organizing daily outings and playdates, Magdalena prepares delicious meals and has consistently supported Sebi through every stage—from introducing solids and establishing routines to toilet training and navigating toddler emotions. She does it all with calm confidence and warmth, while always reinforcing strong values and gentle manners through her own example.
Magdalena has been especially invaluable to me as a first-time mother. I was incredibly anxious about returning to work, but knowing Sebi was in Magdalena’s capable hands made that transition not only possible, but seamless. She kept me updated throughout the day with photos and messages, and has continued to be a constant source of reassurance and a true partnership.
She is flexible with nights and weekends, an excellent communicator, and incredibly easy to work with. She knows the UWS and UES well but is open to families across Manhattan. Magdalena would ideally love to work with a newborn again, but has experience with children of all ages. She is fluent in Spanish and communicates well in English.
For the past three years, Magdalena has cared for Sebi with wisdom, grace, and an unmatched sense of devotion. Watching the bond between them grow has been a joy. Our son adores her, and so do we. Magdalena is truly sunshine—any family would be beyond fortunate to welcome her into their lives.
I would be absolutely thrilled to speak further and answer any questions you may have about Magdalena. It is rare to find someone like her.

I am writing to highly recommend Hazel as a nanny. She has been with our family for the past year and has been caring for our daughter since she was just 3 months old. In that time, we have come to rely on her as a trusted member of our family and a dedicated and loving caregiver for our daughter. Unfortunately, we will be moving out of NYC soon, so we will no longer require Hazel’s services.
Hazel has a natural ability to connect with children (especially babies) and create a warm and nurturing environment for them. She is patient, kind, and always goes above and beyond to make sure that our daughter is safe, happy, and well-cared for.
One of the things that impressed us most about Hazel is her ability to adapt and be flexible to our ever-changing schedule. She is always willing to work around our schedule, including staying late or arriving early to provide an extra set of hands when my husband or I am traveling for work. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our daughter is well taken care of.
Hazel’s ability to connect with our child is truly remarkable, and she has been instrumental in helping her develop and grow in her first year. Hazel has helped her to reach her milestones, and she has also been a great support to me as a first-time parent and adjusting to being a working mother. We will all miss so many things about her!
Overall, I cannot recommend Hazel highly enough as a nanny. She is a truly exceptional individual, and I have no doubt that she will be an asset to any family that is lucky enough to have her care for their children.
Our nanny, Winnie, is looking for a new role at the end of the summer. She has been a wonderful presence in our lives joining at the start of 2021 when our eldest son was nearly a year old. She helped greatly with the birth and care of our daughter who was born two years later. She has treated our children with kindness and love for over four years and helped them grow into happy, healthy children.
Winnie has helped the children grow and develop, organizing playdates, finding community activities as well as ensuring the kids are intellectually stimulated with age-appropriate play, music and reading. She has taken the effort to connect with other care-givers in the neighborhood, ensuring that the kids have a rich and fulfilling social experiences with their peers as well.
Winnie has helped keep the children healthy with her homemade smoothies and wonderful Jamaican food (I’m a big fan), developed their skills, taking the children to various extracurriculars activities such as soccer and dance, and has been a great source of flexible childcare for dinners out and trips.
I have no reservations in recommending Winnie as an experienced, patient, loving caregiver.
Our wonderful nanny, Cheryl, is looking for a new family. She has 20+ years of experience and excellent references.
Cheryl is a deeply attentive and engaging caregiver who truly connects with children. She’s playful, talkative, and always finds opportunities to teach and nurture. Unlike many, she’s never on her phone — her full focus is always on the kids.
Cheryl has been with our family for three years, caring for our three children (now ages 1 to 6), and we couldn’t be happier. Under her care, we’ve watched them thrive, learn, and grow in so many ways.
She’s always eager to take them outside, prepares delicious meals, and leaves our home spotless. Cheryl is also incredibly punctual, reliable, and professional. Any family would be lucky to have her!
If you’re interested, please contact Cheryl directly. I would also be happy to chat and share more about our experience (please contact me by email or WhatsApp only – text will not work while we are away for the summer).

Kay is a caring, loving, joyful, compassionate caregiver. I could not have dreamt up someone better for my children to grow up with. They now 9 and 7 are thriving socially and in school and I know Kay has been a huge part of this.
Kay is extremely professional and reliable and takes pride in her role as a caregiver. She has been five minutes early every weekday for nine years. My husband and I both travel for work and she is flexible with coming early and staying late when we need her. She is also great with dogs!
Kay was resourceful with finding activities for the kids when they were younger and setting up playdates. They are still friends with many of these neighborhood kids that they met through Kay when they were babies. Now that they have more organized activities she will shuttle them wherever they need to go.
Kay will stay with us until she finds the right fit for her next family and will be flexible to interview.
Truly a gem for any family!
