I am posting on behalf of our wonderful nanny Sheila who is looking for her next full time job! Sheila has been helping care for our children for 3.5 years. Before us, she worked for two other Stuyvesant Town families for 10 years. She started with us when my older child was 6 months old and then seamlessly transitioned to caring for our baby when he was born in February 2024. Since I’m currently on break from being a lawyer, and our older child is in preschool, we no longer need a full time nanny. Sheila is responsible, trustworthy, loving, and active. She has decades of experience caring for children of all ages and is especially skilled with babies.
She takes our children to classes/preschool at the 14th St Y, local libraries, music classes, and countless play dates at all the local playgrounds. She also cooks delicious and nutritious meals for our kids and handles their laundry. She is extremely attentive and engaged and people often mention to me what a great caregiver she is. She does not spend time on her phone when she’s with the kids and she has never been late.
Sheila has been an integral part of our children’s lives for the past 3 years. She helped establish their schedules, created meal time routines, assisted with potty training, and facilitated socialization with other kids. She was extraordinarily helpful every step of the way. After Sheila started caring for our older child and I went back to a demanding full time job, I always felt at ease knowing he was with her. My husband and I have always felt comfortable with leaving our kids in her care.
Sheila will be with our family through the end of August but we are flexible with her end date if she finds a new family sooner! She would love to grow with a new baby and she enjoys working in the Stuy Town community, but is willing to travel to other neighborhoods. She’s happy to work around pets.
Please message me if you’d like to discuss Sheila further or connect with her!
Our wonderful nanny Nicole is looking for her next family to love and support. Nicole has been with our family for two years, and we are now moving away and have to say goodbye. Nicole is professional, reliable, loving, experienced, and wise. She has a calm vibe and is easy to be around. She combines firm and effective boundaries with a silly playfulness that has made our children adore her. In addition to caring for our children (now ages 2 and 5), Nicole helps with their laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and preparing meals for the children. She is a good communicator, flexible with tasks, and was willing to do the needful. Nicole taught our kids independence and routines, and delighted in facilitating playdates. She is comfortable with a wide range of ages from infant through elementary. She kept our youngest safe from injury despite his adventurous climber tendencies, and helped teach our older child to read and write. Friends who observed Nicole with our children at the park frequently commented on how great she is with the kids. She would be a valuable addition to any household. In our chaotic household with two young children and two working parents, I go to bed at night thinking ‘Thank God for Nicole..’. She is a tremendous source of stability, support, fun, and love for our whole family. We will miss her dearly.
I highly recommend Sisa Zaruma, who has been an exceptional nanny for my two boys (ages 1 and 3). We are moving to Upstate, and it’s with great sadness that we must part ways with her. I am eager to help her find a family who will benefit as much as we have from her outstanding care.
Sisa speaks Spanish fluently, which has been a wonderful advantage for our family. She connects deeply with our children and handles everything—from picking them up at school to managing their daily routines—with great care and affection, making her feel like part of the family.
What sets Sisa apart is her industrious nature and creativity. She goes beyond caregiving, enriching their lives with museum visits, park playdates, and activities that stimulate their development. She ensures that my children are not only well cared for but also engaged and inspired.
Sisa is both incredibly caring and kind and treats my children as her own. They adore her, and she has become a beloved figure in our home. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of our move.
I confidently recommend Sisa to any family looking for a full-time nanny. She combines skills, experience, and genuine love for her work. I’m sure she will be a tremendous asset to any family fortunate enough to have her.
It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Nadia, who cared for our two children over the last several years. She began caring for our son when he was just six months old and quickly became
one of the most loving, thoughtful, and dependable presences in his life and in ours. As he grew, Nadia also took on afternoon care for our daughter after nursery school, always managing both children with grace, warmth, and ease.
Nadia brings a calm and intuitive energy to everything she does. She has a remarkable ability to handle theunexpected and was a true lifesaver during a major family celebration we traveled for. Day to day, she filled our home with joy and creativity, reading books, doing crafts, encouraging imaginative play, and ensuring the kids spent their time engaged and connected rather than in front of screens. She was always respectful of our parenting preferences and found countless quiet ways to support our household so that it ran more smoothly.
The only reason we are parting ways is that both of our children are now entering full-time school. Saying goodbye to Nadia feels like saying goodbye to a member of our family. I know, however, that she will be an incredible gift to the next family lucky enough to have her. She is smart, nurturing, dependable, and has a rare gift for making children feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves. I recommend her wholeheartedly and without reservation.
We’re heartbroken to be writing this, but our beloved nanny of four years is looking for a new long-term family to join as our kids head off to school full time this fall.
She is everything you hope for in a nanny: incredibly warm, bubbly, nurturing, and dependable. She has been with us through it all—helping raise our kids with love, laughter, and unwavering care. She’s the one teachers, other parents, and even strangers at the playground stop to compliment. She has truly become part of our family, and I can’t overstate how much we trust and adore her.
She does it all—playdates, meal prep, kids laundry, sick days, school pick ups—you name it. She brings joy and calm to our daily chaos and is an expert.
She’s ideally looking for a child aged 9 months or older and is flexible on location in Manhattan or Brooklyn. She’s open to part-time morning hours (I’m happy to keep her in the afternoons!) or a full-time role with a new family. She has been a caregiver for more than 14 years plus raised her own two children.
If you’re looking for a nanny who will become your lifeline, please reach out to her directly. You won’t find someone more loving or wonderful. Her start date is flexible mid-July – September.
Rochelle, or (Roro) as our kids lovingly call her, worked with our military family (United States Air Force) from 2019 to 2022, and she quickly became so much more than a nanny to us. She brought Montessori-inspired structure into our home in the gentlest, most thoughtful way, blending learning and play effortlessly. Roro is creative, fun, and incredibly intuitive with children she has a gift for knowing exactly what they need, whether it’s space to explore, encouragement to grow, or just a warm hug and a laugh.
One of the things we appreciated most about Roro was that we never had to micro-manage. Her instincts, experience, and thoughtful approach gave us complete peace of mind.
She’s not just attentive; she’s deeply present and intentional. Most importantly, she cared for our children with the kind of love and dedication you’d hope for from family. Any parent, especially one navigating the demands of military life, life as a new mom, would be blessed to have someone like Roro by their side.
I am so happy to recommend our weekend/part-time nanny, who cares for our 20-month-old son. She has been truly a gift to our family.
Our son struggles with separation anxiety, which makes it difficult to find someone he feels safe and comfortable with. From the very beginning, Twyla approached the situation with patience, empathy, and deep understanding. She took the time to build trust with him at his pace—offering gentle reassurance, consistent routines, and a calm, nurturing presence that helped him feel secure and cared for in our absence.
She has a natural way with young children, blending playfulness with attentiveness, always ensuring our son’s emotional and physical needs are met. Whether she’s reading with him, engaging him in sensory play, or simply sitting with him quietly during a tough moment, she brings warmth and intentionality to every interaction. We are so lucky to have her as a respite in our busy schedule.
On top of her outstanding care, Twyla is reliable, on-time, and professional, and communicative.
She is looking for a full-time position and I wholeheartedly recommend her.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
We are helping our wonderful Nanny of 6 years look for new family to partner with, as both of our children are now in school. She is loving, sweet, calm, extremely organized, and imaginatively playful with our kids, and has been from day 1! Because she has become a special part of our family, we want to help her find her next position. Also fluent in Spanish and English.
We are sadly parting ways with our incredible nanny, Anjali. Due to changes in our family’s needs, we are no longer able to keep her on, but we are beyond grateful for her care and love she has provided for my child. She joined our family when our daughter was just one month old, and she quickly became an integral part of our family. As our little one grew, Anjali was right there, celebrating every developmental milestone with us- from tummy time, first smile, crawling, walking, and so much more. She is trustworthy, respectful, and professional. We are so sad to see her go, and hope she finds a new family who will love and appreciate her as much as we do.
The time has to come to share our nanny of 10 years with another loving family. She has been with our family since our oldest was a newborn. She has lovingly cared for all three of our children from infancy through early childhood, and now that they’re all in school full time, it’s time for her to find a new family to help.
She is nurturing, patient, dependable, and truly became part of our family. Our kids absolutely adore her—and we do too. She’s been a steady, calming presence in our home, with a natural gift for connecting with children and supporting their growth. Whether it was helping with naps, homework, or imaginative play, she did it all with warmth and care.
We feel so lucky to have had her with us for a full decade, and we can’t recommend her highly enough to any family looking for a loving and experienced caregiver.
I am honored to write this recommendation for Regina, who has been an extraordinary part of our lives for many years. She has lovingly cared for all four of my children since they were babies, and through her dedication, warmth, and support, she has truly become a member of our family.
Regina is everything you would hope for in a nanny—nurturing, dependable, patient, and incredibly in tune with each child’s individual needs. She has helped raise our children with love, structure, and kindness, and they absolutely adore her.
We trust her completely, which is why she has traveled with us everywhere—both domestically and internationally—helping maintain a sense of stability and care no matter where we are. Her presence brings a sense of calm and joy to our family, and her support has been invaluable in every setting.
It is difficult to put into words just how much Regina means to us. She is more than a caregiver—she is family, and any household would be lucky to have her.

I’m writing to highly recommend our nanny Hazel for a part-time position with a new family. She has been a wonderful presence in our home and has cared for our two year old son with kindness, dedication, and so much love. Hazel joined our family when our son was three months old. As a first-time mom, I was very nervous about transitioning back to work and could not have done it without Hazel. From day one she has been attentive, collaborative, and deeply caring. Hazel treats our son as her own and her utmost concern is for our son’s safety at all times.
Hazel has greatly excelled at engaging our son in developmentally appropriate play, music, and reading. Our son absolutely adores Hazel! She is a source of light, humor and joy as she cares for our son. Hazel has gone above and beyond to form connections with nannies in our building and neighborhood to create opportunities for daily playdates. She has been very helpful with finding sources of entertainment and education in our neighborhood. Additionally, Hazel aided with cooking and light housekeeping.
Lastly, I need to highlight Hazel’s flexibility and her ability to work around our changing schedules. She has been a great help to us not only during the week, but also, on weekends and during family trips. Hazel’s direct and open communication style aided our ability to all focus on our son’s wellbeing as the top priority. We are so thankful to have had Hazel as part of our family and she will be dearly missed by us all.
I’m more than happy to answer any questions or share more about our experience with Hazel!
We are looking for a new home for our amazing nanny, Ana. Sadly both of our kids are in school and we only need part time help. She’s been with our family since our first was 3 months old and now both kids are 6 and 4. She is truly apart of our family and always will be. My kids have such a special bond with her and as you can imagine, are really feeling the loss.
For both kids she:
– Took them to their activities
– Lots of park time
-Scheduled playdates
-Homework help
– Her responsibilities aside from the kids changed over the years, but she was always flexible to help where the house needed it. She’ll cook kids meals, clean, laundry etc..
Our son has special needs and she was there with me every step of the way. She could have left to find something ‘easier’, but she cared about his wellbeing as much as I did. There are no words to describe how she impacted our lives.
Savan is a loving, trustworthy nanny with over 20 years of experience. Savan worked with our family for 3 years. She started with us when our daughter was a newborn and then cared for our son as well when he was born 1 ½ years later. The only reason she is not still with us is because we moved away from NY. She is the kindest, most loving, caring person. She is reliable, responsible, flexible and independent. With her help we were able to establish a stable feeding, sleeping and activity schedule. She is very active with the kids, always takes them out to playdates, playground, classes, nature walks or plays with their toys and books. She is a very experienced nanny whom has worked with four long-term families. Savan will bring an abundance of experience, professionalism and love to her next family.

I am pleased to offer a reference for my current professional nanny Mel with over 24 years of hands-on experience caring for children ranging in age from as young as six weeks old through the early teen years.
As a mother to adult children of her own, she understands deeply the trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s care—and she honors that responsibility with her full commitment, heart, and professionalism.
Throughout her career, she has nurtured children in every stage of development, creating loving, structured environments that promote emotional well-being, independence, and growth. She takes pride in not only providing attentive, compassionate care, but also being a positive influence and an active educator in their daily lives.
Mel was with us for a few years and during that time was an exceptional caregiver and a great addition to our family. She has extensive experience and knowledge working with various age group and assisted us during major transitions and milestones such as introducing solids, potty training, sleep regression and the famous stages of grumpy two’s.
In every role, she assumed full responsibility for the children in her care.
This included prepping and preparing their meals with attention to any dietary needs. Managing and doing their laundry. Organizing their schedules, activities, and transportation. Light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment… sometimes even cooking for the entire family and washing clothes that have piled. Supporting learning through play, reading, and age-appropriate educational activities.
Mo enters our home every morning with a bright energy and kindness but also bringing a calm presence and a genuine love, being a supportive extension of us
When first speaking with the past families she worked with, they would describe her as dependable, nurturing, proactive, and grounded and I can attest to all of it.
If you are looking for an experienced and deeply loving nanny who takes initiative and offers long-term consistency and support, then you’re looking for MO and I’d be happy to connect you!
