Take the time to just stop and look!\u00a0 Allow your children to ask questions (e.g., \u201cWhat is that called?\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Wherever you decide to go, make sure to take pictures so that your child can work on recalling what happened in the past. Spring in the city is absolutely beautiful so we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/randallsisland.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Randall&#8217;s Island<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Randall\u2019s Island Park offers miles of waterfront pathways, 60+ athletic fields, Icahn Stadium,\u00a0tennis and golf facilities, expansive gardens, wetlands, an urban farm and more. Upcoming events include Yoga in the Park, and both Urban Farm Exploration Day and Art on the Farm! Randall&#8217;s Island <a href=\"https:\/\/randallsisland.org\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">events<\/a> and activities are perfect for both kids and adults.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brooklynbridgepark.org\/events\/waterfront-walks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waterfront Walks<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss the very informative weekend waterfront walks at Brooklyn Bridge Park! They talk about the history of the area, the park\u2019s sustainable life, and how it was designed.\u00a0 It is a great forum to ask questions, practice listening, and just enjoy being out in nature.\u00a0 Check out their events calendar regularly to see what is going on.\u00a0 You can always get your eat on at the amazing Smorgasburg while there too!<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centralparknyc.org\/activities\/guides\/birding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Bird Watching<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>The birds are back and tweeting away at Central Park!\u00a0 Borrow a free Conservancy Discovery Kit at Belvedere Castle.\u00a0 It comes with binoculars, guidebook, maps, and sketching materials.\u00a0 This will allow your child to explore, comment, and learn more about the world around them.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nybg.org\/visit\/exhibitions.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Botanical Garden<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you really want to get the feel of spring don\u2019t forget to visit the New York Botanical Garden!\u00a0 Its lush landscapes, nature walks, gardens, and various collections is the ultimate way to learn about flowers and greenery.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehighline.org\/activities\/family_programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">High Line<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One of our favorite areas in the city is the High Line for its mix of urbanism and nature.\u00a0 Most people are unaware that it offers plenty of activities for children! They even offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehighline.org\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">High Line tours<\/a>, a perfect opportunity for your baby to waddle around and for you to learn more about the history of the High Line.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prospectpark.org\/visit-the-park\/places-to-go\/audubon-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nature Exploration<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Before it gets too hot outside, have your children join the Prospect Park Audubon Society in Prospect Park to explore nature.\u00a0 We especially love the Boathouse area!\u00a0 They have recently expanded their program and began the Pop-Up Audubon, which involves an Adventure Hike (finding the park\u2019s hidden trails), Nature on the Go!
