According to my older son, the start to fall means one thing – and it\u2019s not caramel apples. Fall means homework has started again! It also means that for many of you\u00a0(and especially those with children from baby to six)<\/strong> the school search and admissions process begins.<\/p>\n

I know first-hand how overwhelming this process can be, so in keeping with the fall homework theme, I believe one of the best ways to combat anxious rumors and misinformation about school is to do your homework.<\/p>\n

Where to start? One very helpful step would be to stop by one of New York Family\u2019s citywide\u00a0Independent School Fairs \u2013 coming up this Saturday (Sept. 26) on the UES, and one next Thursday (Oct 1) on the UWS<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The School Fairs are free, family-friendly, and children of all ages (including infants and toddlers) are welcome. Most importantly, they give interested parents a chance to discover a big host of schools and get your questions answered about the application processes.<\/p>\n
