Here are some of the best kid-friendly restaurants in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<h2>Upper West Side<\/h2>\n<h3>Gabriela\u2019s<\/h3>\n<p>This family-owned Mexican restaurant is family-friendly, too. It has a nursing enclosure and a changing table, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2016\/8\/19\/11922210\/NYC-best-family-friendly-restaurants-kids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eater\u2019s<\/a> guide to family-friendly dining.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s indoor and outdoor seating, and the menu has classic Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>688 Columbus Ave @ 93rd st<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Alice\u2019s Tea Cup<\/h3>\n<p>The Alice In Wonderland-themed menu at this Upper West Side tea room is a whimsical experience for kids and adults alike.<\/p>\n<p>Kids can wear glitter and fairy wings that are provided at the restaurant, and it also hosts kids\u2019 birthday parties. The kids\u2019 menu even has pureed baby food.<\/p>\n<p><strong>102 W 73rd St<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Gramercy Park<\/h2>\n<h3>Maialino<\/h3>\n<p>This Gramercy Park restaurant is noted for family-friendly service and good Italian eats.<\/p>\n<p>Several Yelp reviewers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/maialino-new-york\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> that even though Maialino is a fancy restaurant, employees don\u2019t mind making room for strollers at the table.<\/p>\n<p>Italian restaurants are great for picky eaters, since there are usually kid-friendly pastas on the menu. <a href=\"https:\/\/maialinonyc.com\/menu\/#dinner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maialino<\/a>\u00a0 has basic staples like Cacio e Pepe and Fettuccini Bolognese for kids, and more adventurous dishes like squid ink pasta with crab, jalapeno and basil for parents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 Lexington Ave<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Midtown<\/h2>\n<h3>Mom\u2019s Kitchen &amp; Bar<\/h3>\n<p>This trendy spot has a fun, retro theme that kids will love. If you and your kids want to indulge your sweet tooth, there are oversized, loaded milkshakes topped with everything from fruity pebbles to cupcakes.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also a kids\u2019 menu, but even the regular menu is kid-friendly, with an array of pancakes and sandwiches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>701 9th Ave. (at 48th St.)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Tribeca<\/h2>\n<h3>Maman<\/h3>\n<p>The French cafe was modeled after chef Armand Arnal&#8217;s childhood in the South of France. The caf\u00e9 is \u201cvery kid-friendly,\u201d and even offers a stroller valet, according to a write-up in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/12\/09\/dining\/solomon-and-kuff-caribbean-harlem.html?ref=topics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maman\u2019s kids\u2019 menu also comes with a fun \u201cLet\u2019s Learn French\u201d section so that older children can practice French phrases while they wait.<\/p>\n<p><strong>211 W Broadway<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>East Village<\/h2>\n<h3>The Smith<\/h3>\n<p>This popular family-friendly restaurant is noted for fast, kid-friendly service. Their big brunch menu will suit everyone in the family, and there\u2019s also a long list of snacks &#8212; like hot potato chips and baked mac and cheese &#8212; that are good for kids.<\/p>\n<p><strong>55\u00a0 Third Ave (between 10th and 11th Street)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Upper East Side<\/h2>\n<h3>David Burke Tavern<\/h3>\n<p>The Upper East Side staple, <a href=\"https:\/\/davidburketavern.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Burke Tavern<\/a> is a great spot for weekday lunch with other moms, or for family brunch on Sundays.<\/p>\n<p>Happily accommodating children &#8211; though not on the main lunch menu &#8211; the restaurant can whip up kid-friendly dishes, or help parents introduce a variety of foods to expand picky eaters\u2019 palates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>135 E. 62nd Street<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Marilyn Icsman<\/strong> is a student at Ohio University and a current Mommybites intern.
