The first is a new app called “Fake-A-Text” in which someone can create a fictitious dialogue, take a “snapshot,” and send it to another person to bully, badmouth, or frame another person of bullying. Attempting to tell the difference between a genuine or fake text is a challenge to say the least and adds another layer in deciding the outcome of a bullying case.
The second is a website called, “SMACK High NJ.” This is a blog that allows people to talk “smack” about high schools in NJ (there are also ones for NY and CT). A person can go and write a piece of “smack” about their own high school or another high school. SMACK High NJ will repost the info so that it is anonymous.
