Lili first came into our lives over 17 years ago when our son was born. She has been with us ever since; first taking care of our son, and then our daughter too. She is nothing short of a second mother to them, and to me – as a full time working mother – she has been my right hand.
The only reason that Lili is looking for a new position is that from September 2025 our daughter will also be attending boarding school.

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of having Morlaix as our nanny for the past 3.5 years. She joined our family when our daughter, Alma, was just six months old and I was transitioning back to work. From the start, she’s been a thoughtful, reliable, and joyful presence in our home.

Beyond the basics, Morlaix just gets it. She’s proactive—tidying up Alma’s play space without being asked, prepping snacks, and meals.
As every parent knows, everyone does things a little differently, and Morlaix was incredibly respectful and supportive of our particular hopes for Alma’s upbringing. We really wanted to maintain a screen-free environment and support Alma in learning Spanish as a first language—both of which Morlaix embraced and helped bring to life on a daily basis.
These days, Alma is more independent and in school full-time, so Morlaix has been handling school pickups and is looking for more hours with a new family. We feel so lucky to have had her with us for these formative years and would love to see her with another family who will value all that she brings.

Muriel has been with our family for the past 4 years, caring for our 2 children from the the time they were six months to 4.5 years old. Taira was our nanny from the time our daughter was 4 months old to the time she was almost 5.5 years old. Taira has played a big role in our daughter’s upbringing and has treated our daughter as if she was another one of her grandchildren (she has 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren of her own).
She always ensured that our daughter was safe and well cared for, and we never had to worry when we were away at work with demanding jobs. Many people have given us compliments about the way in which Taira went about her job.
As first-time parents, Taira’s in-depth experience with her own children and the other children she has nannied over the past ~20 years was very helpful to us, both at the beginning as we tried to get our newborn daughter onto a schedule, and then through later milestones/transitions such as introducing solids, potty training, moving to a toddler bed, etc. Whenever our daughter was sick, she knew just what to do and comforted both us and our daughter until she got better.
In addition to watching our daughter, Taira was responsible for our daughter’s laundry and food. She always made sure that our daughter was dressed and groomed impeccably, with perfectly ironed clothes and gorgeous hairstyles every day. She cooked healthy and tasty meals for our daughter, and was always persistent in getting our difficult eater to eat her meals. While not one of her official responsibilities, she used her downtime to make sure that we came home to a tidy house, which was a huge bonus to us.
Taira is very independent, easily getting our daughter to and from school and activities, and filling free times with museum visits and playdates that she arranged on her own. She is particularly plugged into the Upper West Side and came into this job with a network of nannies (that she expanded based on our daughter’s friends) and knowledge of the best kids’ spots in the area.
Taira is fluent in Spanish and reinforced our bilingual household by speaking to our daughter exclusively in Spanish.

We couldn’t list all the reasons we love our nanny Angie. She’s been with us 2+ years caring for our now 5 and 3-year-olds. As my little one starts school this fall, I wanted to share a wholehearted Our incredible nanny, Kaela, will be available for a full-time position starting in August or September.
Kaela has been with us since my son was just two months old, and over the past few years she has become an irreplaceable part of our family. She supported us through some very challenging moments, including two surgeries during his first year, and her calm, nurturing presence during his recovery made all the difference.

She takes initiative, follows instructions thoughtfully, and has been remarkable at adapting when unforeseen events shift our schedule. She has also been amazing with our very energetic Vizsla (no small feat!), and fully embraces our outdoorsy lifestyle.

Paola has been with us since November 2024 and has worked with a family in our previous building in Upper West side previously. We are looking to help her find her next family as our son will start daycare and we will no longer have the hours for her.
She is one of the kindest, most caring caretakers, who goes above and beyond to make sure our 1 year old son and 5 year old daughter are well looked after. They love her. She actively engages our son in a wide variety of age-appropriate activities, most often takes him in local playgrounds (daily), libraries, museums, weekly visits to Central Park zoo and is very capable of providing sensory playing and early motor skills development. In addition to watching our son, changing him, reading/playing with him and feeding throughout the day, she ensures pick up and drop off for our daughter every day, and cleans up after them and before she leaves for the night.
She is not only reliable and trustworthy but also genuinely invested in my kids growth and well-being, making her an invaluable part of our family.
It is with great pleasure that I recommend our nanny, Sharda, who has been an integral part of our family for the past 11 years (including two years as our live-in nanny). Our family’s evolving situation over the years: Sharda started working with us (five days a week) after my wife’s maternity leave in January 2012. At the time, we lived in an apartment at 82nd & Amsterdam in New York City. We are a dual income household and needed frequent coverage for client breakfasts, dinners and travel. In January 2016, we welcomed another son, Theodore, into the world. In 2020 we spent a few months out of the city on covid lockdown in a remote location in Westchester County. Sharda commuted to support us. In July 2021, we decided to relocate full time to Westchester County. Sharda agreed to become our live-in nanny arriving Monday and departing after the boys had been fed on Thursday night. In 2024, my wife and I decided to separate. As the boys are older now (aged 9 and 11), our care needs have shifted and we are going to see if we can make things work with an au pair. I imagine we are in for a rude awakening.
Infant stages: One of Sharda’s most incredible talents is how effortlessly she kept our babies happy and healthy. She was in tune with their every movement and bustled about tending to their needs with warm bottles, naps and excursions to the park before they could even anticipate their own desires. She spoke directly with the babies constantly, which helped with their language development. She spent a lot of time on the floor patiently and proudly letting them build with blocks, complete puzzles or monitor them as they navigated the environment. The kids were always clean with fresh diapers, laundered clothes, rested and fed. I felt fairly on top of my game as a new Dad, but this was black belt level. Sharda would often encourage us to have more babies, which was well beyond our caretaking capabilities, but certainly not beyond hers. I remember as first time parents, we bought a couple books on potty training and did our best to help our boys figure it out. We did not get anywhere with it. We asked for her help. The next day, when I came back from work, the boy was fully potty trained. He never went back to diapers and never wet his bed. She could probably make a great living just potty training toddlers.
Pre-school years: Sharda takes a lot of pride in making sure our boys are well mannered and well behaved. She gives them feedback and gently scolds them if they were not doing the right thing. As a result, our boys played fairly with others and showed up well at school. They have wonderful friends and values. During this period, Sharda was proactive in connecting with other nannies and moms to coordinate play dates. She is punctual and reliable and our boys were never late for school or left wondering where she was at the end of the day. She is not a pushover. She is sweet and loving but if the boys are not listening or doing what she says, she makes sure she has their attention and they hear her. These values help drive our boys’ success in relationships with their peers and adults, in school and on the playing fields.
Elementary school years: Our boys have an active life with tennis, basketball, flag football and many other commitments. As a live-in nanny over the last two years, Sharda has been an integral part of our family driving them to all those appointments on time with the right gear (water bottles, uniforms, footwear) and safely. Sharda is an outstanding driver (slow and safe). She is incredibly organized and tidy. You know she has been in the kitchen because the countertops are clean and the dishes are done and there is leftover food neatly packed and stacked in Tupperware containers. She stays ahead of the boys never-ending loads of laundry to make sure they always have fresh clothes for the next school day. She brings a peaceful vibe to our home and is a wonderful cook. When I fell ill earlier this week, she prepared a delightfully nourishing chicken soup with corn noodles, which was incredibly healing.
Sharda’s impact on our family has been profound, and her influence will resonate with our boys throughout their lives. We are lucky to have found her and are immensely grateful for the years we spent together. Her kindness and dedication extended beyond our immediate family, as her own family, including her sons, daughter, and husband, graciously welcomed our boys into their home for weekends at her home in Jamaica. We deeply appreciate Sharda’s unwavering commitment and the love she bestowed upon our family. She is dearly missed.

Veronica started with our family when our daughter was just over three months old and continued until she was almost 2. Veronica took the absolute best care of our daughter, we even had neighbors tell us how loved and well-looked after our daughter was. She is patient, kind, attentive, assertive and overall just an amazing person.
Veronica took initiative in finding activities and playdates and they spent most of the day out of the apartment bringing our daughter to classes (music, art, gym), playrooms, or the park. She was great at communicating and always sent us photos throughout the day. She made sure to spend time teaching our daughter with age-appropriate toys and reading to her. Veronica took great pride in our daughter’s development and we have her to thank for how developed our daughter’s speech is!
When our daughter was a baby, she kept a daily log of how long she napped for and how much milk she consumed. She also helped so much with the transition to solid food. Veronica is incredibly clean and neat. She did all of our daughter’s laundry and kept her stroller in impeccable condition. She even helped a little around the house, making sure it was always tidy.
