Find A Nanny
Wonderful, experienced, energic, fun, responsible full-time nanny available starting September 2026.
Norma is looking for a full-time position (45-50 hours per week), ideally in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
Norma, our wonderful, highly experienced nanny of 3 years will be finishing with us this summer as our youngest of two boys (aged 3 and 5 yo) prepares to start 3K in September. We are so sad to wrap this chapter with her as she has become part of our family, but feel happy for the lucky family she will be supporting next!
Norma has been integral to our family unit over the past three years. She has taken care of our youngest boy since he was a baby. She is energetic, fun and responsible, reliable and consistent. Her energy is boundless – our very active two boys are often happily worn out by the end of the day!
She delights in the boys having fun and is proactive in arranging play dates and activities, taking them to free sessions at our local library and such like, seeking out neighbourhood activities as well as further afield – she often takes them to visit museums, the zoo, the aquarium. She also takes the boys to any classes and afterschool activities we schedule. We always know our boys are safe and well looked after.
On occasion, she has also travelled overseas with us on family trips.
Some other responsibilities Norma takes care of:
Kids Food – Norma meal preps dinner daily for the boys and lunch when needed.
Bedtime – She handles bath time, getting into PJs, etc so we can enjoy reading, an evening movie etc.
Kids Laundry – She does laundry for the boys.
Kids Clean Up – She handles picking up after the boys (and encouraging them to help!), stroller tidying etc.
In summary, your family will be lucky to have Norma in your life!
Looking to help our nanny Tricia find a new family starting in August after we move out of state.
Tricia has been with us for the past two years looking after our daughters now 5 and 2yrs old. She is a ray of sunshine and constant source of positivity for our kids. She quickly formed a bond with our kids and became friends with other nannies in the neighborhood, leading us to meet other families nearby.
She is extremely reliable and always on time in the mornings. Tricia is willing to travel within Brooklyn and Manhattan – and bonus, has experience with twins!
My husband and I have employed Dilcia as a nanny with responsibility for caring for our two
sons since September 2021. Since the beginning of our time with her, when our first son was
three months old, she has taken incredible care of them and helped us raise them to be kind and
thoughtful little boys.
Dilcia is playful and active preferring to spend all day outside or in museums. She stays off her
phone while with the children but does send us videos and pictures during their nap times so we
can see how much fun they are having. She is also proactive in researching classes that suit the
children’s schedules and interests and arranging play dates every day with the charges of her
massive network of nanny friends. On weekends we often run into friends the children have
made in Dilcia’s care on local playgrounds and their parents stop to tell us know how much they
like Dilcia.
In addition, Dilcia is fastidious with their safety and and corrects them when they misbehave
with gentle redirection. She selects and prepares healthy meals and snacks (a favorite is the mid-
afternoon bowl of cumbers, grapes, apples and tomatoes that I now swear is the secret to keeping
kids regular) and neither of my sons ever had a diaper rash in her care.
Further, Dilcia has always been prompt and reliable. She has also been flexible to stay late as
occasionally required by our work schedules, even on short notice, for which we have been so
grateful.
We are truly sorry to part with Dilcia this fall once our children are both in school full time and
we look forward to keeping touch with her long after she has transitioned to working with a new
family. While I am heartbroken we will not see her every day I am encouraged that she will
remain in our lives; over the years we have watched her take weekend visits to other cities to
visit her prior charges who have moved and seen the proudly shared pictures of her prior charges?
graduations and other milestones. As we transition to her working with a new family I can only
hope that her new employers appreciate the truly special person she is.
Note that she is flexible to occasionally stay late or work weekends but prefers the base schedule to not include nights or weekends. She was also flexible to be on call to take care of my older child overnight when I gave birth with my second child.
It is my pleasure to recommend Afyia Nelson wonderful, trusted nanny. She cared for our first-born, Sylvester, and another family’s baby, Ava, in a nanny-share, from the time they were 3 months old until they were 2 and went to playschool.
As first-time parents, she was everything. She’d seen it all, and seh brought so much experience. She has a calm, confident, and deeply nurturing presence that immediately put us and our babies at ease. The first day we met her, I remember all of us parents were sitting together and both babies started to cry inconsolably. We all just looked at Afyia. She just quietly picked them both up, and they immediately stopped crying. That told us everything we needed to know. I have a demanding job, and she brought the same lovely, calming energy to our home every day.
One of the many things that was super helpful for us was that she got them both on a consistent nap schedule within a week. Thanks to her expertise, they both quickly became amazing sleepers, which is legitimately the greatest gift. As our children grew into energetic toddlers, Afyia met each new stage with patience, creativity, and warmth. She read to them, sang and played music for them, guided them as they developed into every new milestone, and took them out every day to local libraries and parks. She even taught Sylvester to say “please” (sometimes).
I see loads of nannies and parents glued to their phones while their kids and charges are playing in the park (I’m sometimes guilty of this myself). This is not Afyia. She’s truly present with the babies, something that is so hard to find these days.
On several occasions, people from the neighborhood and other parents who have seen her in action, have come up to me (unprompted) to tell me that Afyia is amazing.
Table stakes but super important: she is highly professional and super reliable. In all the months she worked with us, she was never once late, and she never left us the lurch. So trustworthy. For working parents, this level of dependability was a true enabler.
We feel so fortunate to have had Afyia with us during these formative years with our babies.
We have been fortunate to have Isabel, an incredible, loving, and caring nanny, looking after our little one since he was 4months old. She immediately became an integral part of our family – building a wonderful bond with our baby boy and earning our complete trust.
Isabel is warm, attentive, completely reliable, and genuinely passionate about childcare. She has played a critical role in our baby’s development – always engaging him with patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. Knowing he was in her care gave us complete peace of mind & a ton of confidence!
We are only posting this /parting ways because our family is moving abroad. Otherwise, we would keep Isabel with us for years, without hesitation.
We cannot recommend her more highly to any family seeking a trustworthy, experienced, and loving nanny. Any child would be lucky to have her!
If you are looking for a nanny or would like more information, please feel free to reach out!
She could be available starting August.
She’s a fluent Spanish speaker and very good speaker of English (we don’t speak much Spanish and that was never a problem) – and is able to travel with families!
Hi all, we have a wonderful nanny Lwando to recommend. We were actually hoping to hire her full time last September but she had to delay her start date and our timing didn’t line up. She helped us for a few weeks before we went on vacation in the summer. She was originally recommended to me from an UES moms group and had really great references.
She has strong focus on early childhood education, calm and great with kids. My baby daughter and her had an instant connection (and she’s really picky!) She had so many great ideas for playing with her, singing to her and teaching her things from an early age- she was way more than a caregiver.
She was able to coach me through all the questions I had as a first time mom from size of bottle nipples to nap schedules and milestones. That was of huge importance to us as we felt that we needed some education as first time parents. She has been a career nanny and been long term with all of her prior families so very reliable and trustworthy.
She is ready to start immediately, and would prefer full time role.
Wilma is the most patient and trustworthy addition to our family. We have been with her for 4 years and she is such a stable and loving presences for us. She handles our two kids ages 4 and 8, moves them around the city, and has loved them since my youngest was only a couple of weeks old. She leaves the house very clean and organized for us when we come home. I would love to help her find a new family.
Cherry has been integral to raising our two boys from birth to ages 2 and almost 5, respectively. During her time with our family, Cherry has been an invaluable part of our household and has had a tremendous impact on the growth and development of our sons. Cherry is exceptionally warm, dependable, and thoughtful. We have always been able to count on her completely, whether for daily routines, unexpected schedule changes, or the various responsibilities involving the care of two young children. She consistently demonstrates professionalism, optimism, and a calm, steady presence that gives us full peace of mind as parents.
Most importantly, Cherry is deeply devoted to the children in her care. She has formed a loving and nurturing bond with our kids and has played a meaningful role in fostering their emotional, social, and intellectual development. She is always positive and brings a sense of humor to her interactions with our sons. She takes genuine interest in our children’s personalities, needs, and evolving interests. She thoughtfully creates opportunities for learning, creativity, and growth through everyday activities and interactions.
Cherry is patient, caring, and responsible, always ensuring the children feel safe, supported, and encouraged. Whether helping with routines, engaging them in educational, creative, or sports activities, or simply seeing to their daily needs, she approaches every aspect of her role with warmth, pride, and dedication.
Over the past 5 years, Carmen has been a wonderful nanny to our two daughters. She started when my oldest daughter was three months old and was immediately a kind and loving presence in our daughter’s lives. She is nurturing, calm, and gentle with all children. I have always felt so comfortable knowing that my daughters were with Carmen and I didn’t need to worry about them.
Carmen has extensive experience with kids (babies, toddlers, elementary) as well as on the upper east and west sides. She is a big believer in fresh air and is always getting the girls out of the apartment, to parks, playgrounds, museums, zoos and more. She is great about making friends with other nannies to make sure the girls have lots of playdates. We actually met close family friends through the other kids she introduced my daughter to around the neighborhood.
We are so sad to lose Carmen now that my kids are going to be in school full time. We hope she lands with a warm family in the area.
Please reach out with any questions, I am happy to chat.
Positing to help my lovely nanny to find a new position since we are relocating. Nisha has been with us for 3 years since our daughter was 6 months old. Nisha is always on time and assumes her position without handholding. She is incredibly loving, kind, caring and has a very quiet, calm demeanor. When working from home I would hear her laughter with our daughter throughout the day. I’m highly recommending her! She is looking g for a full-time position with a newborn or toddler. Please feel free to reach out to her directly (646-286-3654) or me (562-269-8109)
Kami has been with us for the past two years and has truly become part of our family. She is kind, nurturing, patient, playful, intelligent, and mindful. She has been wonderful with both of our children and is equally comfortable caring for infants and toddlers, alike.
She drives and has helped us with school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as outings with our toddler to the library, playground, and playdates. Kami is dependable, engaged, and genuinely enjoys spending time with the children in her care.
She is local to North Merrick and would love to find something in the area (Merrick, Bellmore, or up the Meadowbrook around Garden City). She’s looking for part-time (approximately 5 hours a day, with availability between 8am and 4pm), ideally four days per week.
One important note: because she has allergies, a home with furry pets would not be the right fit.
We are so sad to lose her as our youngest transitions to full-time camp/school, but we would be thrilled to see her land with another warm local family.
I do not often write recommendations, but I am truly happy to share this one.
If you want a nanny who is loving, dependable, and highly experienced, I recommend Theresa. She has over 20 years of experience caring for children.
While working for us, Theresa became a trusted part of our family. She is patient, warm, and very reliable. She connects easily with kids while providing great structure and guidance. Each day, she creates a perfect balance of fun learning and creative play.
What we love most is her genuine care. We always knew our child was safe and loved. Theresa always goes above and beyond, which gave us complete peace of mind. Any family would be lucky to have Theresa. We are so grateful for her time with us. We know she will bring the same kindness and professionalism to your home.

I would like to recommend Faye, who worked with our family for more than seven years as a nanny and household caregiver. During that time, she cared for our two boys from early childhood until they were 12 and 9 years old. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have had her as such an important part of our family.
Faye cared for our children with remarkable dedication, kindness, and patience. She treated them as if they were her own, providing not only attentive supervision but also genuine love, encouragement, and support. She helped them with homework, ensured they stayed on top of their responsibilities, and safely transported them to and from school, activities, and appointments. We were very grateful for her calm and dependable nature.
As the kids got older, In addition to her childcare responsibilities, Faye also helped with our household. She assisted with cooking, laundry, grocery shopping, and maintaining an organized home.
What sets Faye apart most is the deep bond she formed with our family. Over the years, she became much more than an employee—she became family. Her commitment to our children and our family as a whole left a lasting impact on all of us.
Our decision to part ways with Faye was solely due to our relocation out of state. If we had remained in the area, we would have been thrilled to continue having her as part of our family.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information.
Shalini
Our amazing nanny, Sharon who has been with our family for almost two years, will be available in September as we transition him to Montessori school. My son was a NICU baby, who also came 3 weeks early making it one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. Sharon made that decision easy. We interviewed many nannies before meeting Sharon, and I knew immediately, the way she picked him up and she held him like he was her own. I think she forgot we were asking her questions, her and Leo were just instantly bonded! (He also fell asleep in her arms, and he was not a good sleeper!).
A few things that make Sharon truly one of a kind:
1. Loving, caring and she really takes pride in raising her children. She truly loves my son. You’ll hear her say “Nana Baby!” In referring to all her prior children. Sharon has built a real community around the families she’s worked with and the children she’s raised. She still keeps in touch with her prior, including the oldest who is 21 and texts her to check-in.
2. Immaturely clean and very tidy. She is very clean and keeps my son’s room and laundry organized and clean
3. Always early – she has never been late once. In the last year Sharon has arrived early at least 20-30 minutes early. When I had planned surgery and needed her at 7AM, Sharon came 30 minutes early even then
4. Excellent with socializing and teaching my son independence. She is excellent with teaching manners, and helping with socialization. I was always worried about if he’d get enough socialization and activities, and Sharon was so great in meeting other nannies, creating community for my son with his friends.
5. Always willing to take my son to activities! Sharon is so flexible with taking my son to his classes, MyGym, library story time, indoor playgrounds, even when things are far 25-35 minutes walk and more.
Aloma has been with our family for 10 incredible years.
There truly are not enough words to describe how special she is. She has been so much more than a nanny. She has been a second mom to my daughters and one of the most important people in our lives. When my kids are with her, I never question for a second that they are loved, safe, nurtured, and treated like they are her very own.
In 10 years, not once have I caught her distracted on her phone or anything other than fully engaged with my children. She is constantly playing with them, arranging playdates, planning outings, reading, crafting, teaching, and creating magic in their everyday lives. She is patient, loving, attentive, dependable, and truly one of a kind.
Every one of my children’s teachers over the years has commented on how amazing she is and how lucky we are to have her. She has helped shape my children into the kind, respectful little humans they are today, and I will forever be grateful for the love and care she poured into our family.
She would love to start with a newborn and a family she can grow with. She will be available starting in August.
Our beloved nanny, Ann, is looking for her next family in September (dates flexible – earlier start possible). We’ve worked with Ann since November 2022 and sadly have to say goodbye as our youngest child will be starting school.
Over nearly 4 years, Ann has become a member of our family. She began working with us when our daughter was just over 3 months and then took on our second with ease – so she has lots of experience with newborns and infants, all the way up through elementary and beyond.
But more than the amount of time she has been a nanny (which is ~25 years), Ann protected and loved our children with her whole heart. She grew with our family and supported us at every step, from early infant sleep struggles, cleaning pump bottles, toddler tantrums, sibling conflicts to preschool/friendship quandaries.
Ann is more than a babysitter who will take kids to classes; she is a professional who is fully invested in your child’s growth and development. She actively reads to children and has taught both our children their ABCs, colors, numbers and so much more. People in our community love her, from our neighbors, fellow parents, to librarians; we’ve only received wonderful feedback about how attentive she is to our kids.
Please reach out to me at 929 768 2234 if interested!
Working with Nerisia has been an absolute dream for the last 3.5 years. Nerisia approaches every day with kindness, energy, and adventure. She is fantastic with newborns and has supported our daughter’s development from 6 weeks through all of her major milestones. She has organized her meals every day, done laundry each week for both of our kids, and has curated exciting daily adventures around New York City. She has organized a wonderful playgroup for our daughter and even arranged and decorated her birthday parties. Whether it was picnics, playdates, museums, or rainy day art activities, Nerisia has always ensured that our daughter’s day was structured and engaging.
Nerisia brings immense joy and warmth to her interactions with children, making her a truly exceptional professional. As an excellent communicator, she ensures that we are aligned in our approach to instilling strong values and manners in our children, demonstrating them herself. Her dedication to our children’s education is evident in her willingness to help with homework and teaching our three-year-old her letters. Beyond her unwavering commitment, Nerisia is also incredibly thoughtful, reliable, and punctual. Our entire family regards Nerisia and her family as an integral part of our own, and she will remain a cherished member of our lives long after she finds another family to work with.
We would be thrilled to answer any questions about Nerisia.
I’m happy to provide a reference for our nanny, who was with our family for the past eight months. During her time with us, she was consistently reliable, always arriving on time and maintaining a dependable schedule, which we truly appreciated.
As a first-time mom returning to work, it was very important for me to feel comfortable leaving my son in someone else’s care. She helped make that transition easier, and I always felt that my son was safe and well cared for while I was away.
She was also very consistent with household support, including keeping up with our laundry and helping with day-to-day tasks around the home. She always cleaned up after our son and kept his spaces organized, which made a big difference in our daily routine.
In addition, she regularly attended classes and activities both within our building and in the community. Through this, she helped our son socialize and build connections, creating a small circle of familiar friends for him, which we really valued.
Over time, she became a steady and familiar presence in our home and a part of our family’s routine. She was responsible, trustworthy, and maintained a consistent level of care throughout her employment.
We’re grateful for the support she provided our family and would recommend her to another family seeking a reliable and dependable caregiver.
Our nanny is becoming available and I honestly cannot recommend her enough. She has over 25 years of experience, including previous baby nurse experience, so she is especially amazing with newborns. She cooks, cleans for the kids, and keeps everything organized. She also keeps the children very active and engaged, taking them to Gymboree, the library, the park, and playdates. She is loving, patient, dependable, and truly helped shape my children into the polite kids they are today. Any family would be lucky to have her.

Mayda is an incredibly loving and caring Nanny that cared for my two children from birth until preschool. She became like another parent to them, and I know every other family she worked with previously felt the same. She came highly recommended with glowing reviews and exceeded all expectations. Mayda took the kids to the park every single day and made friends with all the other nannies and parents nearby, which gave us the start of a wonderful community we still cherish today. She does the children’s laundry, cleaning, dishes, etc. and has magic powers at naptime 🙂 She established a wonderful routine and schedule that was so helpful for us as new parents. Please reach out with any further questions, happy to chat further.
