It is with great pleasure that I offer a wholehearted recommendation of our former nanny, Yanie Tajon. Yanie has been an incredible addition to our family over the last several years. Any family that has the chance to work with Yanie will find themselves very lucky.
Yanie began working with us when my son was 4 months old, and was with us for 3.5 hears, also taking care of my younger daughter when she was born. We parted ways only because we moved out of the country, and we all miss Yanie greatly. She exudes warmth and love, and she and my children built an incredible bond. She is kind, gentle, compassionate, and professional. Yanie is a clear and direct communicator, especially when it comes to our children’s needs and development, and has always been open to feedback and discussion. She brings a wealth of experience raising children – not only her own now-adult sons but also multiple families she’s worked with long-term in the New York City area over the last two decades.
In terms of the more tactical parts of the job, Yanie is incredibly reliable and always on time. Her hours with us tended to be mostly stable week to week, but she was also willing to come early or stay later if needed and if her schedule allows. She is proactive and organized. She is quite outgoing and built a community with many other nannies and children, so it felt like my kids from a very early age had great social exposure and friendships. She was always supportive of plans we made for the kids (i.e. music and gym classes), but also independently set up playdates, trips to the zoo, library, and playgrounds, etc. to ensure our children were stimulated and challenged, and was resourceful as well with crafts and activities as my son grew older. She went above and beyond to help around the house if our children are napping and helped keep our lives overall (not just the kids!) running smoothly.
We are incredibly grateful for the time Yanie spent with our family, and want to support her to find a role with a great family. Her preference would be to join a family with 1 newborn, but she would be open to a newborn and an older sibling.
I cannot recommend Shantel highly enough. From the very beginning, she cared for our baby with such genuine love and attentiveness that it truly felt like she became part of our family. She was with my family for 10 weeks, 6 days a week. As a night nurse, she brought not only deep knowledge and professionalism, but also warmth, kindness, and a wonderful sense of humor that made those early, often exhausting weeks so much easier.
Shantel is incredibly trustworthy and dependable. You can rest easy knowing your baby is in the best possible hands. She has an intuitive understanding of newborn care and sleep routines, and thanks to her guidance and consistency, our baby was sleeping through the night by just 7 weeks old. Even now, at 20 months, those healthy sleep habits she helped establish are still going strong.
Beyond her expertise, what sets Shantel apart is the way she cares for the entire family. She brought calm, reassurance, and positivity into our home every single day. Her presence was a gift during such a special (and sometimes overwhelming) time.
Any family would be beyond lucky to have Shantel as a night nurse or nanny. She is truly exceptional in every way.
Standout things about Domsy:
1. She immediately made our daughter feel comfortable.
2. Ensured our daughter was engaged intellectually and socially everyday! Coordinated play dates, outings to the park and library, story times…
3. She worked around our schedule and habits from day 1
4. Frequently asked for feedback about herself to make sure we were happy.
5. She created food recipes to our fussy daughter and constantly helped around the house , without asking
She’s is a mother of two teen children ages 17 and 14, a certified in New born Care Specialist and CPR trained. She has over 10 years of experience with newborn, toddlers and twins and multiple children. She’s creates firm boundaries and structure for the children in her care while showering them with tones of love.
Any family she joins next would be very lucky to have her as part of their team.
Because we moved from NYC, we had to part ways with our phenomenal nanny after 11 wonderful years together. From the moment Annie met our son at just four months old, we knew he would always be safe, loved, and in exceptional hands.
Over the years, teachers, parents, neighbors, and friends consistently commented on how special Annie is and how fortunate we were to have her caring for our son.
We were the third family Annie worked with, and she has a long-standing history of staying with families for many years. She is excellent with children of all ages and incredibly reliable—never once late and rarely, if ever, taking a sick day. We could always depend on her to manage daily routines seamlessly, from appointments to activities, ensuring our son was safe, prepared, and well cared for at all times. As he grew, she continued to support his busy schedule, getting him to and from school, sports, and appointments with ease.
What truly sets Annie apart is the level of attention and care she brings each day. She was always fully engaged—never distracted—and spent her time playing, doing arts and crafts, and creating meaningful experiences with our son. We still have many of the projects they made together, and to this day, he adores her (he has always called her “My Annie”).
From infancy through adolescence, Annie supported every stage of his development. She prepared homemade meals when he was young and continued to cook thoughtful, healthy meals and snacks as he grew. Each evening, we returned home to a happy, well-cared-for child who had been fed, bathed, and fully engaged throughout the day.
She also made time off from school incredibly special—planning outings to museums, parks, and other enriching activities. Her ability to balance fun, learning, and social interaction was exceptional.
Beyond her caregiving, Annie is deeply loyal and became a trusted partner in our parenting journey. Her instincts, experience, and genuine love for children made a lasting impact on our son and our family. Many of the qualities he has today are a reflection of her influence.
While it was incredibly difficult to say goodbye, we are excited for the next family who will benefit from Annie’s care. She is truly one of a kind.
We often say we “won the lottery” when Annie came into our lives—and what she gave to our son is truly priceless.
NOTE: she will do laundry and cook for the children.
It is with both gratitude and sadness that I write this reference for our incredible nanny, who has been with our family for the past 2.5 years. She has been such a meaningful part of our lives, and it is only due to my recent job relocation to another state that we are parting ways.
From the very beginning, she brought warmth, reliability, and genuine care into our home. She consistently created a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our children, always going above and beyond to support their growth and happiness. Her patience, attentiveness, and ability to connect with them on their level made a lasting impact not just on them, but on our entire family.
She always made sure the kids had meaningful interaction throughout the day by organizing playdates and taking them to classes, keeping them active, social, and engaged.
She is dependable, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. Whether it was managing daily routines, planning activities, or simply being a steady and comforting presence, she handled everything with professionalism and heart. I always felt completely at ease knowing my children were in her care.
Beyond her role as a caregiver, she truly became part of our family. Her kindness, positivity, and strong work ethic are qualities that any household would be lucky to have.
I wholeheartedly recommend her to any family seeking a trustworthy, dedicated, and loving nanny. She will be deeply missed, and any family would be fortunate to have her.
Please feel free to reach out at 929-232-4297 if you have any questions.
Moni has been an invaluable part of our family for 3 years — from the time I brought my daughter home from the hospital, to her first day at “school” and the start of my second pregnancy. She is intuitive and protective. Moni taught my daughter her alphabet and numbers quite early, always found interesting library and music classes, and helped her make friends at the park who she still considers her closest friends. I asked her to speak Spanish exclusively to my daughter to fortify the language, and she absolutely did. Moni also made sure my first floor was immaculately tidy every time upon my return from work. I interviewed a LOT of people before I landed on Moni, and I cannot speak more highly of her, she is certainly a gem.
We are so excited to recommend our former incredible nanny, Melissa, to a new family through Mommybites!
Melissa was an essential part of our family, she brings over 24 years of hands-on childcare experience with children ranging from as young as 6 weeks old through the early teen years. She is not only deeply nurturing and attentive, but also incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to child development, routines, and milestones. As a mother of three adult daughters, she brings both professional expertise and real-life parenting wisdom into every home she enters.
Melissa arrives each day with a happy, energetic disposition, ready to get the day started. She is a true self-starter, and the children naturally gravitate toward her. She has a gift for creating a warm, loving, and structured environment where children feel safe, supported, and truly seen. From introducing solids and managing sleep regressions to potty training and navigating toddler transitions, she approaches every stage with patience, confidence, and care.
She is dependable, proactive, and fully invested in the well-being of the children she cares for. Melissa takes initiative in assuming all responsibilities related to the children, including meal prep, organizing schedules, planning engaging activities, and ensuring each child’s emotional and developmental needs are met. She also helps with light household tasks, which she consistently initiates on her own without needing direction.
Melissa is a true team player—direct, transparent, and communicative with parents—making her not only an exceptional caregiver for children but also a strong support system for the entire family. She goes above and beyond in every aspect of her role, bringing dedication, warmth, and professionalism into the home. Most importantly, she treats the children as if they were her own—with genuine love and care.
Melissa is currently available part time through June and full time beginning mid September, and she’s looking to join a new family where she can continue to offer her exceptional care and become a trusted, support system.
Any family would be truly lucky to have her. Please feel free to reach out for more details or a direct reference. We cannot recommend her enough!!
She is loving, caring,
happy, responsible and reliable. She is amazing at engaging children at different age groups, arranging play dates with my son’s friends, very friendly with my sons friends and parents, helped with potty training, and helped him learn his numbers and letters. She created a routine schedule of learning and creative play for my son. Anyone who knows or works with children knows routine is key and she excelled. She has all the attributes you look for in a nanny.
I cannot recommend our incredible nanny Shondell highly enough. She has been an integral part of our family for the past 2.5 years, caring for my child with exceptional patience, warmth, and dedication.
Shondell is reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely nurturing. Every day, She created a safe, engaging, and structured environment—planning age-appropriate activities, encouraging learning and development, and ensuring my child always felt supported, happy, and secure.
She consistently went above and beyond in every aspect of her role, from maintaining routines and preparing meals to keeping everything organized and running smoothly. Shondell’s professionalism and natural ability with children truly set her apart.
We are only parting ways because our family is relocating—otherwise, we would keep Shondell forever. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her.
Shondell is now seeking a full-time nanny position in Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn with a loving family.
Please feel free to message me for more details or a direct reference – I would be more than happy to speak on her behalf.
Our wonderful nanny, Sherry who’s been with our family since our daughter, Harriet was four months old, will be available starting April 2026.
We are going to miss Sherry enormously! She has helped our Harriet develop beautifully within a loving, calm, enthusiastic social environment, treating our family (and dog!) like her own. She is reliable, professional, and has an uncanny ability to understand and entertain little ones that seems to come easily to her that’s amazing to witness.
My wife is now able to spend her full time at home with Harriet, and Sherry’s helped her and I both establish a good routine with Harriet’s care. While we no longer need full-time childcare support, saying goodbye to Sherry is very bittersweet, and we feel beyond grateful for having found her.
We are both more than happy to chat about our experience with Sherry and speak to her qualifications and expertise. My (Jon) cell is 914-500-5866 and wife Anastasia’s cell is 203-524-3795, and please feel free to reach out to either of us. Cheers!
We said goodbye to our beloved nanny, Nadine, as we moved, and we’re still hoping to help her find the amazing family she deserves. She has experience working with all age groups.
Nadine is so much more than a nanny-she’s loving, proactive, and incredibly skilled at fostering a child’s growth.
She helped raise our daughter into a confident, bilingual (French/English) little girl, all while filling her days with adventure, learning, joy., and lots of outdoor time.
She sets thoughtful boundaries with patience, cooks incredible meals, and brings warmth and structure into the home. Any family would be lucky to have her—we know we were

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am pleased to write this letter in strong support of Dianne Gopee for a nanny position. What began as a chance encounter at a playground grew into our most valued working relationship for our family. Starting out with our two young children, Dianne had to multitask and manage difficult situations ranging from child sickness to varying school schedules, all which she handled with skill and grace.
As our children got older, Dianne’s role evolved and developed into what could be described as a House Manager. The kids’ schedules became more complicated with sports, school and tutoring and Dianne took on more responsibility with food shopping, cooking and cleaning and continued to demonstrate immense reliability and strong work ethic.
I have witnessed firsthand Dianne’s dedication and professionalism. Others have too, frequently other families would approach her to work for them and lamented the fact that they could not find someone who measured up to Dianne’s caring, kindness and enthusiasm.
Dianne has consistently demonstrated quick problem-solving and attention to detail. Regardless of the situation her thoughtfulness and personable nature puts everyone around her at ease. I have no doubt that Dianne will contribute greatly to any family, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything further.
Sincerely,
Francis Power

E’Alsha was a nanny for a little over 9 years. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has prior experience as a baby nurse. She is vaccinated, boosted and Covid cautious. From the beginning, she has taken an active interest in helping our sons grow and learn. She is always suggesting classes, engaging with other nannies at the playground so our sons could have play dates with other kids and teaching our sons basic learning and development skills for their age. She’s always on the go, rain or shine, even when our sons were infants, she’s always coming up with creative ideas to keep our boys entertained. We credit our boy’s skillet and confidence largely to her. E’Alsha always kept us up to date through-out the day, sending pictures and videos or calling with silly stories. In addition to caring for our sons, she would offer to make purees for them when they were a baby as my sons got a little older, she would prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner if needed or directed. She does light housework, children’s laundry, potty training and more. She is patient, easygoing, reliable, thoughtful, trustworthy and very flexible. Things ran smoothly because we had a great and clear communication which we admired and respected. She is available to start in July 2026. Additional references can be provided if necessary. You can contact E’Alsha directly.
Vicky was with us for 15 years. She has been with us since our oldest was 9months old, and she is truly a blessing! We have 3 daughters, all who refer to her as “mama Vicky” She is kind, caring, patient, always on time, and is just the best nanny there is. She did the girls laundry and sometimes prepared meals for them. She did light cleaning and was always willing and able to help. She was with us through Covid and other life changing events. She is trained in infant and toddler CPR and has taken a course in child care! She is simply the best!!! Any family that gains Vicky is gaining an angel!
Our nanny Tejkumari has been outstanding when it comes to taking care of our 2 kids (Ezra – 9 & Lukas – 2).
She has gone above and beyond when it comes to how our kids feel around her. From the moment she arrives they are running to greet and hug her which gives us a sense of comfort and security
She is always on time because of our hectic work schedule and always stays back a little late if needed.
She is a good cook for the kids as they will usually want what she made on the weekends when we are with them and also would share ideal recipes with us that we would otherwise not have prepared
Overall we are very pleased with her service and would highly recommend as she has had a few years of experience with us and more years prior with past clients both in Manhattan & Queens
The wonderful, nurturing, and awesome nanny that I am referring is Ms. Sacha Sahadeo! I have had the privilege and honor of working with this wonderfully exciting, compassionate young woman over the last six years, and she has been a true blessing in disguise to me and my family. Not only is she perfect with my children in every sense of the word, but she is very kind, helpful, hard-working, honest and understanding. She is a true team player and makes every effort to care for our children in the most kindest way and has shown my two daughters the love they need to grow healthy and happy over the years. I love to call her the “Mary Poppins” of nannying because she is absolutely the best that I have seen thus far and she came highly recommended from a dear friend of mine. Ms. Sahadeo is also currently in college studying to become a nurse and has two daughters of her own. I am highly recommending Ms. Sahadeo to be your next nanny as she has become a true part of my family through the love and kindness she has shown us. I am relocating for my job so it is a bittersweet moment that she must join a new family and grace them with her wonderfully nurturing and caring ways the way she has blessed us. If you should have any questions or inquiries about Ms. Sahadeo, please feel free to reach out to me. I am more than happy to connect with you on her work with us and how amazing she is. If you are looking for a super nanny, then here she is!
We have worked with our wonderful nanny Lupe for the past three years and we wholeheartedly recommend her for a full time nanny position as our family needs have changed.
Lupe is an incredibly attentive, kind, and loving person. She is reliable, punctual, and hard working. We first met her in January of 2023 when our daughter was about four months old and she helped me transition back to work and managed pumped breastmilk. She helped us through every stage including bottle feeding, transitioning to solid food, naptimes, and potty training.
She will be a wonderful addition to any family and we would be more than happy to share our positive experience with any prospective employers.
We’ve known Lupe for nearly 15 years—since our eldest was a baby. It’s impossible to describe how great she is and how much better she’s made our lives. Our parent friends point out that we’re lucky to have her. We know.
Lupe is:
-Loving. Refers to our kids as “my babies.”
-Motivated to get the kids out of the house. Takes the kids on trips to the library, museum, playground and for walks around the neighborhood.
-Fun. She draws, plays hide-and-seek, creates with playdough.
-So hard working. She often cleans while my youngest naps. We rarely even see her sit down and she’s never on her phone.
-Thoughtful and easy going.
-Great with kids of all ages. We have 3 kids and she’s one of the only people who can handle them all at once. (And will even welcome an additional child if someone wants to bring a friend on an adventure.)
-Punctual, reliable. Never late.
-Bilingual.
-A great mom herself. She has two lovely, nearly grown daughters.
Lupe takes her job really seriously and we hope to connect her with another family who will value her the way we do.

We can’t say enough good things about Isidora. She cared for our daughter when we were first-time parents, and her warmth, patience, and steady presence made a huge difference during that time. She has a natural way with babies and always made us feel that our child was safe, understood, and genuinely loved.
Even now, with our daughter in school, we still turn to Isidora for occasional babysitting. Our daughter remembers her fondly and lights up when she sees her. Isidora has stayed in our lives in thoughtful ways, including remembering birthdays and sending gifts, which speaks to the kind of person she is.
She is reliable, kind, and deeply attentive. Always on time and never on her phone when watching kids. Any family would be lucky to have her, and we recommend her without hesitation. Please reach out to her at 347-813-9745.
