We are moving out of the city, so we are parting ways with our exceptional nanny Debbie. Debbie has been with us for almost 3 years, from when our first son was 4 months old. She is warm, gentle, and loving. We trust her completely, she is never late, and is incredibly flexible. She handled the transition from 1 to 2 kids seamlessly, and juggles their busy schedule effortlessly. She is extremely neat, and always helped us around the apartment. Debbie is super active (truly never sits still!) and has no problem keeping up with our energetic boys. She is comfortable taking them to school, classes, and the playground. She takes her role with pride and professionalism, and she treats our boys with kindness and love.

I have a unique work schedule, and she was always accommodating, willing to help with the occasional weekend coverage, come early, and/or stay late.

She was with her previous family for 15 years, so she has an abundance of knowledge on caring for children of various ages.

Cherry was our beloved our nanny for the past five years. She was integral to raising our two boys from birth to ages 2 and 5 and an invaluable member of our household. Cherry is exceptionally warm, dependable, and thoughtful. We were able to count on her completely, whether for daily routines, unexpected schedule changes, or the various responsibilities involving the care of two young children. Our circumstances have changed, and we are very sad to part ways with Lupe, but we share our highest recommendation for Lupe as a full-time nanny. She worked with us for the past three years, caring for our two daughters, now 3 years old and 9 months old.

Lupe has been an exceptional caregiver from day one. Her daily responsibilities included preparing meals for the girls, managing their laundry, keeping their spaces clean and organized, and — something we especially valued — enforcing a no-screen-time policy in favor of hands-on, developmentally engaging activities. She was endlessly creative and excelled exceptionally in this regard, regularly planning indoor and outdoor activities including art, building blocks, dolls, stuffed animals, music, singing, books, library visits, museum visits, playgrounds, park outings and playdates that kept our daughters curious and active.

Lupe’s defining quality is the genuine love and dedication she brought to her role. She cared for our girls as if they were her own. Our eldest daughter, who has always been particular about who she trusts, attached to Lupe almost immediately — a testament to the warmth and security Lupe provides. Lupe was also unfailingly punctual and reliable, and she went well beyond her normal hours whenever we needed her. During my postpartum recovery, she came in every day to help put our toddler to sleep and worked weekends without hesitation, all so our family could get the support we needed during that time.

Additionally, Lupe has a wonderful personality and is a truly good person. She is warm, energetic, and highly sociable. Lupe’s personality set a loving tone for the character of our household. She is loved by our respective families, by the nannies who care for our daughter’s friends, and by the staff and teachers at our daughter’s school. Lupe is leaving our family only because our circumstances have changed, as we will require less childcare going forward. Lupe’s departure has left a hole in our lives and household, and she will be dearly missed.

Dechen is the best nanny you could ask for. She has been with us through 3 children, Covid, moves, and has always been there as someone to rely on. In addition to being truly devoted to our children, Nerisia is also extremely thoughtful, reliable, and always on time!! Our whole family sees Nerisia and her family as a part of our own, and she will be long after she finds another family to work with, just as she continues to be in the lives of the families that she has worked with in the past.

I am recommending our nanny because she is a very caring person, loves children and has become part of my family. She is always engaging my child to do different activities; she takes him outside on walks, the park, the zoo.
When it’s raining or snowing outside, she will make sure that my child has a great day by going to the library or indoor playground. – Bathing, dressing and feeding children
– Motivating children with innovative playing including arts and crafts
-Performing housekeeping duties including thorough house cleaning, cooking and shopping

Claudia has a number of strengths but her main strength – according to my observation – is her talent to motivate children. She always seemed genuinely interested in having our two sons learn and play with new things. She continuously prepared arts and crafts activities that were fun and innovative.

Claudia is very reliable, trustworthy, motivated, and able to make herself tune-up with the requirements of family and children. In summary, Claudia possesses all qualities that make a nanny successful.

Wonderful Full-Time Nanny Available

Our former nanny, Latoya, is looking for a new full-time family, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Latoya was with our family for six years, starting when our oldest daughter was 2 and our second daughter was about to be born. She ultimately cared for all three of our children, including our youngest son from infancy.

Latoya is smart, kind, loving, hardworking, incredibly even-keeled, and simply an upstanding human being. She loved and cared for our children as if they were her own, and we always had 100% confidence that they were safe and well cared for with her.

She is wonderful with infants and older children alike and is very capable managing a busy household and multiple children. She cooked for the kids (and often for us!), handled their laundry, managed multiple school/activity pick-ups and drop-offs, and is extremely comfortable navigating all forms of transportation around NYC.

The only reason we parted ways is that our family’s needs shifted to part-time, while Latoya is looking for a full-time position. We feel incredibly lucky to have had her as part of our family and would be thrilled to see her find another wonderful family.

Our very loving nanny Carrie is available for a full time position. She took care of my 16 month old, who is transitioning to daycare. She also shuttled my 5 year old from Greenpoint to preschool in Williamsburg both directions every day, which was no easy feat. She is warm, affectionate, and patient, and kind. She was also very helpful around the house – washing dishes, tidying the kitchen, resetting the living room and kids bedroom without us ever asking her to do this! Yvonne was our nanny from the time our daughter was a few months old until she was 11 and she is an absolutely wonderful nanny. She is a very responsible, caring, gentle and encouraging person. I particularly appreciated how engaged she was with our daughter when at home or on regular trips to the parks, museums and around the neighborhood. She was a dream come true for our family. I frequently received compliments from other parents about how great Yvonne was with our daughter and I always felt completely secure with leaving our daughter in Yvonne’s care. Our wonderful nanny Mel with was us for seven years and raised both our son and our daughter from the time they were born. She has experience as a baby nurse so is great and knowledgeable with infants and then was great with both of our kids until they were both in full time school. She was an incredible support to our family with two working parents until both of our kids. When they were older she took them all around the city comfortably to school and activities. She is funny, fun, kind, knowledgeable about kids, and extremely reliable and consistent.

Helping our amazing nanny find a new family 💜

Hi moms and dads! We’re helping our nanny, Ingrid (GG), find her next family as our childcare needs have changed. She is looking for a full-time nanny position (40–50 hours/week).

GG has been incredibly reliable and dependable. She was always on time, usually arriving at least 10 minutes early and waiting in the lobby. She was also very flexible with our schedule. Whenever we needed her earlier, later, or had a schedule change, she was always willing to help and never said no.

Since GG started with us, she has become so much more than her nanny. They truly became best friends. They’ve shared so many special moments together, from playing in the snow and swimming in the lake to going to playgrounds and the library and helping our daughter make new friends.

One of my favorite things was their morning hair routine before school. They would put on their favorite music, GG would do her hair while our daughter did her dolls’ hair, and when GG finished, she would look in the mirror and proudly say, “I look beautiful!” 🥹💜

GG introduced her to Disney and My Little Pony, which she is now obsessed with! Wherever they went, there was always a pony or a whole bag of them! 🦄 She also helped her learn to share and make friends. It was really hard at first, but eventually she would leave the house already planning which toys she wanted to bring for a specific friend.
GG has also been wonderful with potty training, routines, manners, and encouraging independence. She even helped us transition from using the stroller to walking, which made such a difference. We can now take the subway with her without any problems!

We are so grateful for all the love, patience, creativity, and fun GG has brought into our daughter’s life. We are sad our childcare needs have changed, but we know another family will be very lucky to have her. 💜

Eve’s genuine love for children is evident in everything she does. She has cared for our son since he was 2 (he’s now 4), and for our daughter since she was four months old (she’s now almost 1), and we credit much of their development to her nurturing presence. Our wonderful nanny, Ria, will be available for a new full-time position in November. She has been with our family for 6½ years and has truly helped us raise both of our kids. Ria is warm, smart, incredibly good with children, and hyper-organized. She is exceptionally capable: the kids are so relaxed and well behaved with her, thanks to her kind yet sturdy way of interacting with them. She gets them to eat healthy food, packs them when we go out of town, and can swiftly get them anywhere they need to be across NYC. She easily makes friends and is always organizing playdates. She also keeps our house immaculately clean, both on day-to-day housekeeping and also organizing all of their clothes and toys as they outgrow them. As the kids have started school, Ria has begun handling all of our laundry and house cleaning while the kids are out of the house. Not to mention fully planning the best birthday parties ever as an added perk (happy to share pics of her balloon creations!)

Sattie has been working for our family for almost 2 years – initially looking after my second son (full time) until he started preschool and then looking after my youngest (part time) from when he was 6 weeks old. My youngest has now also started preschool which is why I would love to find Sattie a new family to join who will love her as we have.

Sattie is kind, loving, generous and adores children. My middle son, who does not naturally take to most people, has loved her from the moment she entered our house and still speaks to people as if Sattie is a member of our family. Our youngest, as a baby would squeal and kick and flap excitedly as soon as he heard the doorbell in the morning. Even my oldest, who is neurodivergent, trusts her and feels safe with her.

Importantly, whenever Sattie walks in the door, it’s like a huge weight is lifted from me. She is such an amazing carer for the kids, but she also looks after me, doing little things to help out whenever she can, just to make my life a bit easier (I have 3 busy boys).

Over the time that Sattie has worked for us, she has been reliable, on time, flexible with our chaotic lives and always happy to take direction. She prepared my boys for preschool by practicing letters, and numbers, reading to them every day, doing arts and crafts and teaching them some Spanish. She has always taken them out every day to let them get fresh air and exercise and find them little friends to meet with regularly at the playground.

Sattie communicates everything clearly about my kids’ day. She is a miracle-worker at getting them to nap in the day (far better than his parents) and helped out with toilet-training my middle son. I would whole-heartedly recommend Sattie as a nannie and would be happy to answer any other questions.

Adama, our former nanny of 10 years, is warm, competent, patient, and an expert in childcare. Adama started with us when our oldest was 6 months old, and was with us for the decade that followed. Our kids are now 12, 10, and 8 (boy, girl, and girl). Adama came to us through a referral from our neighbor, and the two families she worked with before us also saw nearly a decade each with her. Before moving to the US from Senegal, Adama was an educator and school administrator. She is great with kids of all ages, but especially excellent with newborns and toddlers. Adama is endlessly patient, skilled at caring for kids, and always willing to pitch in with any needs we have around the apartment, as well as completely dependable. Adama took care of food for our kids, did our whole family’s laundry, and kept the apartment clean. She picked up and dropped off our kids at school, and brought them on playdates and to after school across the Upper East Side. Before the kids were full-time in school, Adama would seek out creative classes like gymnastics, storytime, and singalongs. She organized many playdates and thrives when leading and coordinating activities for the kids. She was always on time, if not early, and flexible to stay later into the evening or work on the weekends, as needed. We are eager to help her find her next family.

This is honestly one of the hardest parts of our move from New York to Europe. Yaya has been with us since our middle daughter was a newborn and has become part of our family. We truly love her like a family member. If we could bring her with us, we would in a heartbeat, but she needs to stay in New York with her family.

I truly can’t say enough good things about her. She is unbelievably reliable, calm, loving, and capable. Over the years she has cared for our three daughters, managed school drop-offs and pick-ups, cooked for the family, organized birthday parties, and helped keep our household running.
