Blanca is amazing she effortlessly juggles caring for my 3 children while keeping clothing clean and folded, food on the table and the kids entertained. Nelly worked with our family for six weeks caring for our 7 month-old son. She was wonderful with him — warm, energetic, and creative in planning activities. Our nanny, Doma, is looking to work for a new family. She has been working with us for 4 years total during which time she took care of my daughter starting 3 months and then my son starting 3 months to 4 years. She is caring, loving, punctual, and responsible. During her time, she took care of my son’s meals, play schedule, school drop-offs and pick-ups for my daughter as well as their laundry, organization and light cleaning of the house. Most importantly, my kids loved playing with her due to her playful nature. She is also flexible and was always accommodative if we were running late from work or if we needed her to stay extra hours.

Another great quality of hers is that she is very patient with kids and naturally has a very calm demeanor even in most chaotic situations which I admired and valued greatly. The only reason she stopped working for us is because my son started prek4 so we don’t need her full-time.

Denise Mitchell worked with us for over two years, beginning when our daughter was five months old. She provided loving care for our daughter during the time she worked with our family, and now cares for both our two and a half year old daughter and our six month old son. We are moving out of state sooner than expected, and our beloved Denise is looking for a new family to care for. Denise is looking for a full-time position and is available to start in August. Denise also easily handled responsibilities such as cleaning our daughter’s room, our son’s crib and common areas and cooking healthy meals (from introducing solids to our son to preparing and packing a healthy lunch for our daughter for school). She established routines for our children for feeding, nap time and bedtime and guided us through each developmental milestone. Denise is incredibly attentive, and we always felt completely at ease entrusting our children to Denise’s care. We’ve also referred her to visiting friends and family in the city, who have echoed our glowing comments. Many parents and teachers told us unprompted how sweet and caring Denise was toward our daughter. Any family in NYC would be fortunate to have her as a caregiver!

Laura is a fantastic caregiver who worked with our family of three kids for over 10 years and I recommend her without hesitation. She’s kind, reliable, smart and hard-working and has a great track record of getting good behavior from kids with warmth and redirection.

She started when our oldest was just two months old and stayed with us until our youngest was 4. During those years, I was always able to go to work outside the home with confidence and ease that my kids were well-cared for.

My favorite thing about Laura as a caregiver is the full attention she gives kids: all my children felt seen and loved in her presence. But she also did so many little things that made them feel special: cooking their favorite chicken dinner, teaching the littlest to ride a bike, doing puzzles after school, planning “special days” for school holidays, discovering cool playgrounds near their activities, supporting each kid’s hobby and always remembering birthdays.

As a boss I greatly appreciated that I never had to micromanage Laura because she knows how to care for children. I never had to ask for daily pictures of the kids, or a bath schedule, or for playdates or for daily outdoor time, because Laura did those things automatically. I regularly came home to a clean house and calm kids. I also enjoyed talking to Laura because she’s smart and observant. I think any family would be lucky to have Laura in their lives and my kids miss her tremendously now that they’re in school full-time.

Marguerite worked for me for 16 years until 2022. She worked for two other families since that time who loved her but had newborns/young children and moved out of the city. She helped raise my 3 kids (all in their 20s now) including feeding, taking to school, arranging playdates, reading to and playing with them, doing their laundry, keeping the house neat, making sure they got to school and activities promptly and completed homework and whatever else was needed. As they got older she was happy to shift to doing more housework, walked my dog and helped with errands. She was never late and never missed a day of work (my husband and I were working full time). As a result, Ellie surpasses all the milestones for her age in terms of motor skills, communication, and social awareness.

She is also remarkably dependable and organized. We have never once worried about Ellie’s safety or well-being when she’s with Rona. She communicates clearly and regularly, and takes initiative in managing the day. We trust her completely.

Finding someone you can entrust your child to is no small thing. Rona has been one of the greatest gifts to our family. We can’t recommend her highly enough, and we would be more than happy to speak with anyone who is considering bringing her into their home.
