Our nanny is truly one of a kind. She has been with us since our daughter was 2 months old until she turned 2 years old. She has been consistently reliable/punctual, has never called out sick or missed a day last minute and has never showed up late. She has helped our daughter through all transitions through the years from scheduling, sleep training/nap training, transition to solids, transition to a cup, helped her become an independent eater, accompanied her to toddler classes and speech therapy sessions, administered medication, and much more. She is extremely loving and provides a very happy, positive environment and fosters confidence in children. She is able to take the lead and help children progress/go through milestones appropriately. She is very loving and kind but is able to also enforce boundaries and really helps children work through their emotions in a positive way. She is extremely loving and trustworthy, she takes our daughter on public transport all over the city and we have never had any issues. She is a very happy and energetic nanny who will take exceptional care of children while also helping the parents navigate the challenges that may arise in relation to childcare.

Our amazing nanny Winnie is available for a full time position starting in August (if it’s a great fit with a certain family she is open to starting a bit earlier as well). She has been a wonderful presence in our home and has treated our children with kindness, dedication, and affection for over 4 years.

Winnie joined our family when our son was 1. Our daughter was born a year later and Winnie was an excellent addition during the early infant months. We trusted her entirely with the infant and she helped our son transition into big brotherhood.

Winnie has excelled at engaging our children in developmentally appropriate play, music, and reading.

Winnie has gone above and beyond to form connections with nannies in our neighborhood to create opportunities for daily playdates. She is very active with the kids; she takes them out on playdates, to the playground, to classes (soccer in the park, dance classes, swim classes, etc.) , on nature walks and keeps them engaged with books and play. Our children love Winnie! She is a very experienced nanny who has worked with other families long-term.

Gale is an exceptional caregiver! She is attentive, kind and trustworthy. She is extremely reliable – never missing a day of work or arriving even one minute late over the course of 4 years. As a parent to an adult child herself, Galr is an excellent partner to parents. She keeps the home in tip top shape, manages a grocery list to ensure food shopping is organized and communicates updates about the kids/schedule as needed.

The kids’ rooms are always organized and tidy at the end of the day. Clothes are laundered daily and put away. She is a great cook and makes healthy snacks and dinners for the kids.

MOST importantly she is kind, loving and a thoughtful caregiver. She is unanimously liked by kids of all ages, parents, caregivers and teachers alike.

Gale is one in a million and any family would be lucky to have her!!

For two and a half years, Tsering has cared for our almost three-year-old daughter. Come September, our daughter will be in a 3’s program full-time and so we would love to help Tsering find another family to support in her incomparably tender way.

Tsering is a loving, gentle and devoted caregiver. She is unerringly punctual and reliable and has worked as a nanny on the Upper West Side since 2007 so she is more than familiar with the neighborhood. She also cooks delicious Tibetan food (never thought that our toddler’s most requested meal would be “momo”) and always leaves our apartment spotless, which it never is when she arrives! Tsering takes initiative finding fun activities for our daughter – they are usually out and about at museums or in the park, and she has facilitated socializing with a group of children around the same age who have become our daughter’s core group of playmates. Tsering has been an absolutely perfect fit for our family and we will miss her kind, sweet and calm presence in our daily lives.

Our nanny Silvia will become available in mid August and is looking for a full-time job. Silvia has worked as our daughter’s full time nanny for the past year and a half. Silvia is kind-hearted, patient and experienced. She is trustworthy and shows up on time. She arranges playdates for our daughter and transports her to and from her various activities. Silvia sends us texts and photos during the day so that we know our daughter has arrived safely at her activities. Our daughter is now 7 years old and has matured significantly over the time Silvia has been with us. Our daughter is much more independent and knows how to respect and follow rules. Silvia has completed child/infant CPR class and completed nanny training workshops at Cornell University Workers Institute.

Our amazing nanny Tsering is looking for full time work in Manhattan starting in the summer or fall of 2025. She has been with us for the past 3 years, starting when our son was 5 months old. Tsering has been indispensable to us from day one – she is extremely knowledgeable of childhood development and has been an incredible partner in helping us as first-time parents navigating important milestones (transitioning to walking, transitioning to solid foods, potty training, etc). She and our son have a very special bond – she is patient and kind but firm in setting boundaries and expectations. She has boundless energy and is always engaging him in new and enriching activities – going to the park, play dates, singing and dancing, art projects, reading, sports, etc. She is very friendly and proactive – when we moved to Park Slope in November 2023, within a few weeks she had formed a new group of nannies and children and had figured out the best free activities in the neighborhood. She also does light housework (dishes, laundry, vacuuming, general tidying) without being asked, so I always come home to a house that is neater than when I left. We trust Tsering implicitly with all decisions relating to our child – we often seek her advice and consider her to be like a third parent. With our son starting school full-time in the fall we are very sad to be losing her but want to support her in her next adventure! We’re sadly parting ways with our incredible nanny at the end of August, as our family’s needs are changing, and we’d love to help her find a new family to work with.

She has been with us for about 1.5 years and has truly become part of our family. She’s been amazing with our son from infancy — calm, confident, and completely at ease with newborns.

Having had other nannies before with our older daughter, we knew what “great” looked like, and she exceeded every expectation.

We truly feel so lucky to have had her and will miss her dearly. Any family would be fortunate to have her as part of their home.

Alice has been our nanny for the last 5 years, and is wonderful! If I were to describe her in 3 words they would be: cautious, caring, reliable. Alice started when our youngest was just 3 months old, and our oldest was 3. They are now 5 and 8.

She is fantastic with infants, and was diligent about keeping the schedule I wanted. She potty-trained our little one with barely any work on our part. She took our children to school, picked them up, got them to after school activities, bathed them, coordinated playdates, prepped meals, and did their laundry 1-2x a week.

Our girls love and respect her. They are excited when she arrives every morning, and follow her directions and rules to a tee. She worked with boys in her 2 prior jobs so has experience with all kids and energy levels. She is extremely cautious. I never ever worry about her with the girls, where she takes them, or that she is watching them closely and not on her phone.

She has grown children of her own and typically works 50 hours a week, but is flexible to help with additional hours if she is given notice. She is always on time, extremely polite, conscientious and well-liked/respected by other parents, teachers and caregivers in our circle. Alejandra is a responsible and punctual person, she is always willing to help, the way she treats children is spectacular, she is a loving person and always treats people with respect, she is active and proactive always trying to teach and play with children, she likes to take her lovely children for walks in the park to libraries or other activities that are set up, in her free time she always tries to help with household chores and even cooking. If you are looking for someone to help you and at the same time love your children, she is the ideal person.

With over 10 years of experience in childcare and a background as a nurse’s assistant, Shellyann is seeking a live-out position, ideally with a younger child (0 – 2 years old) on the Upper East Side. She has been instrumental in creating a nurturing and educational environment for our children, adept at managing everything from daily care routines to arranging educational play and activities.

Sattie has been working for our family for a while now – initially looking after my second son until he started preschool and then looking after my youngest since he was 6 weeks old. She prepared my son for preschool by practicing letters, and numbers, reading to him every day, doing arts and crafts and teaching him some Spanish. She speaks Spanish to the baby as well and reads to him every day, structuring his day around learning and fun. With both kids, she has always taken them out every day to let them get fresh air and exercise and find them little friends to meet with regularly at the playground.

Sattie communicates everything clearly about my kids’ day. She is a miracle-worker at getting them to nap in the day (far better than their parents) and helped out with toilet-training my middle son. I would whole-heartedly recommend Sattie as a nannie and would be happy to answer any other questions.

We met Luz through Mommybites, and from the very first interview, she completely blew us away. We knew immediately that she would be an amazing caregiver for our daughter. We have been so lucky to have Linda in our lives for the past 5 years, when I found her on this very website! She has been with us since our son was 2 months old. We went through COVID/Quarantine together and consider her part of our family! At the moment we are hoping to find her a family with an infant, who she can work with in the mornings, prior to picking up our son from school in the afternoon. We no longer have need for full time hours and would love to get her more work! We have held on to her this long, despite our son being in school, because we love her so much, and even more importantly, our son loves her so much.

About Linda: she is the most responsible nanny around. She has never been late, never cancelled last minute, is respectful and careful with our son (who is wild and needs some reigning in!) She is warm, loving, and has decades of experience. Multiple families have benefited from her support over many, many years, and she is still in touch with old kids that she used to take care of- some of whom are now in college. Our wonderful, sweet and loving nanny will be available for a full-time position starting 9/1 because our son will be in school full time. Grace and our son adore each other, and he adjusted to her incredibly easily even though he normally distrusts strangers. She speaks English and Spanish and has taught our son many Spanish words and phrases. Martha has a beautiful way of modeling values through everyday moments. She’s deeply attentive, proactive, and genuinely invested in every stage of a child’s development. The loving, responsible adult she raised in her own son speaks volumes about her character.

Beyond her work in our home, Martha helped build community with other families by organizing playdates, outings, and celebrations that brought people together. With both parents working from home, she was a true partner who was always thoughtful about ensuring our children had the highest standard of care.

Martha is fluent in Spanish and conversational in English. She is looking for a long-term position with one baby (ideally starting from infancy), in a pet-free home. She prefers to work in Manhattan.

I am pleased to write this letter in strong support of Dianne Gopee for a nanny position. What began as a chance encounter at a playground grew into our most valued working relationship for our family. Starting out with our two young children, Dianne had to multitask and manage difficult situations ranging from child sickness to varying school schedules, all which she handled with skill and grace.

Before we met her, I wasn’t sure if I could get over the anxiety of leaving my baby to go back to work, but at our first interview, Antoinette calmed all my fears with how lovingly she took care of him.
