We’ve trusted Lorena since January 2025, when our youngest son (Flo) was just 4 months old and our older son was 3.5. She has been a steady, loving presence through so many stages, from bottles and naps to preschool prep, and we are endlessly grateful for the care she has given both boys.
Lorena has become a true member of our family. She cares for Flo full-time and has flexed into care for both children whenever we needed extra help due to illness or school breaks. When we learned that Flo has a seizure disorder, Lorena judiciously learned the specifics of how to care for him and prepare for difficult medical situations. We trust her wholeheartedly and have given her medical authorization to make decisions for both children in emergency situations.

Sabina has truly become a part of our family since she started with us when our oldest was just five months old. What makes her so special is her pure, natural instinct with children; she brings immense patience, warmth, and genuine joy to the daily chaos of raising two active little boys. She handles the logistics of managing multiple kids at once with total grace and is incredibly proactive. Instead of just staying in the house, Sabina completely immersed our kids in the community, tracking down local playgroups and building a wonderful network of neighborhood friends so they were always learning and socializing. To show just how much she meant to everyone, Sabina organized a beautiful goodbye party for our boys, and it was clear from the tears that the local nannies and kids were just as heartbroken to say goodbye to her as they were to our sons. We are so sad to be parting ways with our wonderful nanny, Stephy. She has been with our family for just over a year, and the only reason we are saying goodbye is because we are moving.
Stephy cares for our two daughters, ages 3.5 and 5, and we absolutely adore her. Originally from Brazil, she was an au pair before joining our family and has been an incredible part of our lives ever since.

Andrea has been absolutely wonderful with our two children, ages 5 and 7. This post is bittersweet for us. Our children’s caretaker has been with our family for more than 15 years; since our oldest was three months old. She is truly a special part of our family. Unfortunately, we have reached the point in our lives where it is time to transition her to a new family with whom she can work full time and grow. She is available to start as early as July 1st but we can arrange something sooner if you are in a bind!
My daughters love her. She has not only helped care for them but she has helped raise them. She is comfortable with infants – feeding the most finicky eaters, getting down on the floor to play, and always taking them out for fresh air, socialization, and fun in the neighborhood. She is warm, caring, and loving. There was never a concern when she was around.
She is also dependable and reliable. She never balks at taking the girls to playdates, parties, afterschool activities, or any of their appointments. Due to a shift in our family’s needs, our nanny Avril is looking for a new family (or families!) starting in July. Paola is extremely loving and caring. She cared about our 2 year old from a bit after he was born to now, but we’re sending him to a local preschool and she needs full time job.
Our 2 year old was very picky and he didn’t like anyone except for his parents, even sitters that had seen him many times. Paola managed to get him to like her on the first visit! She has a gift with kids especially younger babies/toddlers.

Our former nanny Gina is an incredible caregiver! She cared for our boy/girl twins full-time from when they were 3 months old until they were over 3 years old (until 3-K), and there wasn’t a moment during that time that we were concerned for their physical or emotional wellbeing.
In our eyes, Gina is super-human…she has a seemingly never-ending supply of energy and physical strength; sitting on the floor with the kiddos, lifting them up for big bear hugs, leading the charge on (successful!) potty-training, and taking them out every day to the park, the playground, the library, and other activities.
Gina cared for our children as if they were her own, but with arguably more sustained enthusiasm and patience then we mere mortal parents could muster day-in and day-out. Gina was always getting down on their level to engage with them by singing songs, playing instruments, reading books, and of course – crawling around, playing hide-and-seek, and helping them learn to kindly interact with each other and others through positivity and her own kind words.
As our soon-to-be kindergartners grew to find words of their own, the values of self-worth, independence, empathy, and gratitude Gina helped to instill show through as our kiddos engage politely with others and advocate for themselves.
We hope to help Gina find a wonderful new family to grow with as she did with ours. I can’t say enough about the genuine love and care Gina showed our two; any parent(s) would be so very lucky to have her and I would be happy to connect with anyone interested in connecting with Gina!

I am posting for our nanny, Sharon, as we are transitioning our daughter to daycare and we are eager to help her find a new position. She has been an incredible part of our family, and we are excited to recommend her. My husband and I both work in medicine and had originally planned on enrolling our daughter at the hospital-associated daycare and were on a waitlist. We had not anticipated getting off the waitlist and had hired Sharon when our daughter was 2 months old. However, we just got off the waitlist and will enroll our daughter as it is a much more affordable option for us (we would otherwise absolutely keep Sharon). We hope we can still maintain Sharon in our lives for weekends and evenings, and really hope to help her find her next nanny opportunity.
We initially found out about Sharon through a posting on my college (Princeton) alumni listserve – another college alum had hired Sharon as a nanny for his 2 children. Sharon had worked for this family for 10 years and their recommendation was glowing (as one example of how integral Sharon was to their family, they asked Sharon to live with their family and sent her son to the same summer camp as their two sons). Sharon has mostly worked for families for long durations of time, but she agreed to help our family while understanding that we may get off the daycare waitlist. During that time, she became invaluable to us.
We are first-time parents and felt very anxious about putting our daughter in the hands of another caregiver; however, all our worries were assuaged with Sharon. She is incredibly reliable, professional, dedicated, and caring. She cares so deeply about the children she works with and does all she can to make the child comfortable and happy. She still maintains contact with the children she has taken care of from decades prior and enthusiastically follows all their accomplishments and successes. She is attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in a child’s well-being. She frequently notices things that we may have overlooked and offers helpful suggestions or raises concerns (for example, noticing our daughter was growing out of bassinet stroller and suggesting we transition to the more advanced stroller with an infant insert which made our daughter exponentially more happy). Her input always comes from a place of experience and care – and was much appreciated; that being said, Sharon also delivered her input with tact and gentleness, understanding that even as first time parents, we were developing our own style.
Sharon is so incredibly reliable and trustworthy that we feel we can better “balance” and juggle it all. Another area of concern for us involved returning to work and how we would balance our careers with childcare — Sharon makes it such that we feel more comfortable focusing on work, knowing that our daughter was in the best hands. Additionally, Sharon has never missed a day of work and has been incredibly dependable, crucial in our household of 2 working parents and no family nearby to help.
With decades of experience caring for children of all ages—from infants through older children—Sharon brings a depth of knowledge and confidence to her work. She has also worked with children with special needs, including children who have needed feeding tube maintenance and care as well as physical therapy. She is very hands-on and only uses her phone to send photo/video updates to us. She has also been very proactive about helping us find other parents in our neighborhood to connect with and finding activities, playgrounds, etc for our daughter to explore.

Mayda is an incredibly loving and caring Nanny that cared for my two children from birth until preschool.
