For two and a half years, Tsering has cared for our almost three-year-old daughter. Come September, our daughter will be in a 3’s program full-time and so we would love to help Tsering find another family to support in her incomparably tender way.

Tsering is a loving, gentle and devoted caregiver. She is unerringly punctual and reliable and has worked as a nanny on the Upper West Side since 2007 so she is more than familiar with the neighborhood. She also cooks delicious Tibetan food (never thought that our toddler’s most requested meal would be “momo”) and always leaves our apartment spotless, which it never is when she arrives! Tsering takes initiative finding fun activities for our daughter – they are usually out and about at museums or in the park, and she has facilitated socializing with a group of children around the same age who have become our daughter’s core group of playmates. Tsering has been an absolutely perfect fit for our family and we will miss her kind, sweet and calm presence in our daily lives.

Our nanny Silvia will become available in mid August and is looking for a full-time job. Silvia has worked as our daughter’s full time nanny for the past year and a half. Silvia is kind-hearted, patient and experienced. She is trustworthy and shows up on time. She arranges playdates for our daughter and transports her to and from her various activities. Silvia sends us texts and photos during the day so that we know our daughter has arrived safely at her activities. Our daughter is now 7 years old and has matured significantly over the time Silvia has been with us. Our daughter is much more independent and knows how to respect and follow rules. Silvia has completed child/infant CPR class and completed nanny training workshops at Cornell University Workers Institute.

Sattie has been working for our family for a while now – initially looking after my second son until he started preschool and then looking after my youngest since he was 6 weeks old. We are now moving overseas for an extended period which is why I would love to find Sattie a new family to join who will love her as we have.

Sattie is kind, loving, generous and adores children. My middle son, who does not naturally take to most people, has loved her from the moment she entered our house. The baby squeels and kicks and flaps excitedly as soon as he hears the doorbell in the morning. Even my oldest, who is neurodivergent, trusts her and feels safe with her.

Importantly, whenever Sattie walks in the door, it’s like a huge weight is lifted from me. She is such an amazing carer for the kids, but she also looks after me, doing little things to help out whenever she can, just to make my life a bit easier (I have 3 busy boys).

Over the time that Sattie has worked for us, she has been reliable, on time, flexible with our chaotic lives and always happy to take direction. She prepared my son for preschool by practicing letters, and numbers, reading to him every day, doing arts and crafts and teaching him some Spanish. She speaks Spanish to the baby as well and reads to him every day, structuring his day around learning and fun. With both kids, she has always taken them out every day to let them get fresh air and exercise and find them little friends to meet with regularly at the playground.

Sattie communicates everything clearly about my kids’ day. She is a miracle-worker at getting them to nap in the day (far better than their parents) and helped out with toilet-training my middle son. I would whole-heartedly recommend Sattie as a nannie and would be happy to answer any other questions.

We met Luz through Mommybites, and from the very first interview, she completely blew us away. We knew immediately that she would be an amazing caregiver for our daughter. Luz began her journey with our family as part of a nanny share, simultaneously caring for our five-month-old daughter and another family’s baby of the same age. As we prepare to move at the end of September, we often joke about wanting to take Luz with us—and honestly, we would if we could. She has been such an invaluable presence in our lives, shaping our daughter’s earliest years in the most positive way imaginable. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Luz and are certain that any family she works with next will quickly see just how special she truly is.

Our wonderful, sweet and loving nanny will be available for a full-time position starting 9/1 because our son will be in school full time. Grace and our son adore each other, and he adjusted to her incredibly easily even though he normally distrusts strangers. She speaks English and Spanish and has taught our son many Spanish words and phrases. She also organizes and attends many playdates with him, as well as taking him to the playgrounds, the zoo, classes, etc. She and our son have a truly special relationship and we’re very sad to part with her. Martha has been with us for over four incredible years, and saying goodbye is truly bittersweet. We had hoped for many more years together, but due to an upcoming move to a different part of Brooklyn, the commute will no longer be manageable for her. While we’re heartbroken to part ways, we’re also committed to helping her find a new family who will appreciate and adore her as much as we do.

Hiring Martha was one of the most important and best decisions we made as new parents. From the moment she joined our family, she brought so much love and wisdom into our home. Our children (now 4 and 1) absolutely adore her, and the bond they share is so strong that many people assume she’s their Abuelita.

Martha is a warm, nurturing and highly skilled caregiver. With a background in early childhood education, she created a rich, bilingual environment full of art projects, stories, music, and thoughtful daily routines. “Escuela de Martha,” as we lovingly called it, was a place of joy, structure and discovery.

She has helped shape our children into kind, curious, and respectful little humans all while quietly keeping our household running smoothly. Martha has a beautiful way of modeling values through everyday moments. She’s deeply attentive, proactive, and genuinely invested in every stage of a child’s development. The loving, responsible adult she raised in her own son speaks volumes about her character.

Beyond her work in our home, Martha helped build community with other families by organizing playdates, outings, and celebrations that brought people together. With both parents working from home, she was a true partner who was always thoughtful about ensuring our children had the highest standard of care.

Martha is fluent in Spanish and conversational in English. She is looking for a long-term position with one baby (ideally starting from infancy), in a pet-free home. She prefers to work in Manhattan.

I am pleased to write this letter in strong support of Dianne Gopee for a nanny position. What began as a chance encounter at a playground grew into our most valued working relationship for our family. Hello, our wonderful nanny Ana is available starting next month as our family is moving to the suburbs. She’s been working with us for a year, starting when our son was a newborn. He is now a toddler and smiles and crawls toward her every morning when she comes over. She is a true partner in the household and willing to do anything that helps the family, including household dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, and walking our dog. We are hoping to find a wonderful new family for our amazing nanny, Kunzang (Kun) Wangmo. With our youngest going to kindergarten in the fall we no long have need for a full time nanny. Kun has been with us for three years helping with our three children who were ages 2, 3 and 10 when she started with us. We couldn’t list all the reasons we love our nanny Angie. She’s been with us 2+ years caring for our now 5- and 3-year-olds. Sad to part ways with our wonderful Nanny, Beni. She’s been with us ~2 yrs and has 10+ yrs nanny experience, confidently cares for our 2 kids. Her bond with our toddler grew quickly, always shared stories w us. She gets excited about our daughter’s new skills, and taught our son to be more independent – taking off shoes & jacket, cleanup, etc. – while juggling our fussy baby daughter. Both kids are picky eaters, but Beni always makes sure they’re well-fed, improvising often. Suggests things to help them develop – puzzles, crafts, etc., gets them to the park, facilitates play dates, and does tons of arts/crafts projects at home.

Strikes a perfect balance between fun/playful, a friend, yet a guide & authority figure. Always calm with our toddler during a meltdown – while taking care of the baby too. Beni is fastidious, thorough, schedule-oriented, and makes sure there is little ambiguity in the day’s plan – and most importantly, our kids love her. Any family will be lucky to have her!

Our nanny Ann is looking for a new job starting in September. She has been with us since 2018 and cared for both of my sons.
She is warm, responsible, flexible and a great communicator, I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her all these years. We are devastated that it’s time to move on! Our sons adores her and at every stage, she’s known how to manage them- she was a calming presence when they were infants and became their play buddy when they became toddlers.
