Our previous nanny, Delia, is one of a kind. She took care of our two sons for almost 3 years – started when our oldest was 10 months old and then took my second son when he was 10 weeks old.
Delia is extremely reliable, always on time, professional, and a heart of gold. She is extremely experienced with children (she has adult children of her own (and a grandchild) and somehow is so warm, but also strong (the children love her, and also respect her). She balanced the two kids perfectly – we now have a third and I wouldn’t hesitate having her watch all three full time. Delia watched the kids in the apartment, but also went out and about too so her and the kids could get a lot of outside time. She’ll follow whatever guidelines parents give!
We moved states, which is the only reason we don’t work together anymore – but if we were near each other, I would hire Delia again in a heart beat. We love her and any family will be absolutely lucky to have her. For context, she lives in Westchester County, so Westchester preferred, but is open to Bronx/Queens, Manhattan, and then Brooklyn.
We had the pleasure of having Dian Grace Powell as our 24-hour baby nurse for almost 4 months while caring for our twins, and we could not recommend her more highly. She is professionally trained, extremely energetic, organized, reliable, and trustworthy. She is excellent at scheduling and keeping everything running smoothly, while also being incredibly gentle, caring, and loving with the babies. She is fun and engaging with them, moves quickly and efficiently, and handles everything with confidence and calm. Caring for twins is no easy task, but she managed both babies exceptionally well and was truly wonderful to have in our home. We are so grateful for all her help and care, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a dedicated, capable, and loving baby nurse.
Yvonne was our nanny from the time our daughter was a few months old until she was 11 and she is an absolutely wonderful nanny. She is a very responsible, caring, gentle and encouraging person. I particularly appreciated how engaged she was with our daughter when at home or on regular trips to the parks, museums and around the neighborhood. She was a dream come true for our family. I frequently received compliments from other parents about how great Yvonne was with our daughter and I always felt completely secure with leaving our daughter in Yvonne’s care. Paola was with our family for over a year, and we’re only saying goodbye because our two-year-old is starting preschool. We’d have kept her otherwise.
She cared for our three children- her main focus was our baby boy during the day, and she took on all three, including our two older girls, in the evenings once they were home from school. Juggling that range of ages is not easy but she managed always with a smile and seemingly unlimited energy.
What stood out most to us was the bond she formed with our son. It happened remarkably fast, and for a long stretch she was the only caregiver he would accept. That says more than anything else we could write here.

A Truly Exceptional Nanny
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Aurélie as part of our family for the past 13 years. She joined us when our first child was an infant, and over the years she has helped raise both of our children into the kind, independent, wonderful 13- and 11-year-olds they are today.
Aurélie has cared for our son and daughter through every stage, from infancy and toddlerhood through elementary school and now the junior high years. What makes her so special is her ability to evolve with them. She has always understood what they need at each stage and has found the right balance of nurturing, structure, independence, and accountability.

She has become my daughter’s best friend and confidante, and my son trusts her implicitly and listens to her. Aurélie grew up in Paris and has taught both of our children French from a very young age. She taught them to read and write in French, and last year, when we traveled to Paris together for the first time, our children were complimented on their accents and fluency. Watching that come full circle was incredibly special to us.
As the children grew, her role naturally changed. When they were little, she was the nanny who spent hours at the playground, arranged playdates, and brought just the right amount of energy and attention to their days. As they entered school, she became an important part of their education, helping with homework, preparing for tests, encouraging reading, developing good study habits, and helping them stay organized. She coordinates sports and activities, makes sure they have time to read, and has always created a sense of structure while allowing them to become increasingly independent.
She also takes care of so much of what keeps our household running smoothly, from the children’s laundry to preparing healthy, balanced dinners and keeping things orderly. She is incredibly flexible when plans change, anticipates what needs to be done, and can always be counted on.

She joined us when he was four months old, caring for him during the most critical parts of development. She is constantly speaking to him in two languages, reading to him and playing with him. I know it was key in his impressive language and critical thinking skills.
She also takes him outside every day. She never stays inside for herself, making sure to prioritize his wellbeing. On bad weather days, she still took him to our complex playroom or just around the building so he could have some socialization. She is familiar with every playground, park & library in the area and makes sure he is having fun. It’s so great to see while I’m at work. He is incredibly social now and plays so well with others, and I know Maria was a huge part of that. She makes nanny friends and it has helped make him friends in the area too.
She also cooks or prepares him breakfast, lunch and snack every day. She prioritizes healthy, balanced meals, along with physical activity. He is never hungry! I always come home to a clean kitchen as well. She does is laundry and keeps his play spaces so clean, which has been a massive help as a working mom. She’s also exceptionally punctual in addition to being extremely flexible and understanding if I am running a few minutes late.
She truly loves my son as a family member. It makes me feel so much better as a mom to know how loved he is 40+ hours a week while I’m at work.

Our former nanny Gina is an incredible caregiver! She cared for our boy/girl twins full-time from 3 months to over 3 years old and there wasn’t a moment during that time that we were concerned for their physical or emotional wellbeing.
In our eyes, Gina is super-human…she has a seemingly never-ending supply of energy and physical strength; sitting on the floor with the kiddos, lifting them up for big bear hugs, leading the charge on (successful!) potty-training, and taking them out every day to the park, the playground, the library, and other activities.
Gina cared for our children as if they were her own, but with arguably more sustained enthusiasm and patience then we mere mortal parents can muster day-in and day-out. Gina was always getting down on their level to engage with them by singing songs, playing instruments, reading books, and of course – crawling around, playing hide-and-seek, and helping them learn to kindly interact with each other and others through positivity and her own kind words.
As the kids have grown to find words of their own, the values of self-worth, independence, empathy, and gratitude Gina helped to instill shine through as our kids engage politely and advocate for themselves.

Our circumstances have changed, and we had to say goodbye to our daughters’ wonderful nanny, Lupe. She has worked for our family for the past three years, caring for our two daughters, now 3 years old and 7 months old.
Lupe has been an exceptional caregiver from day one. Her daily responsibilities included preparing meals for the girls, managing their laundry, keeping their spaces clean and organized, and — something we especially valued — enforcing a no-screen-time policy in favor of hands-on, developmentally engaging activities. She was endlessly creative and excelled exceptionally in this regard, regularly planning indoor and outdoor activities including art, building blocks, dolls, stuffed animals, music, singing, books, library visits, museum visits, playgrounds, park outings and playdates that kept our daughters curious and active.
Lupe’s defining quality is the genuine love and dedication she brought to her role. She cared for our girls as if they were her own. Our eldest daughter, who has always been particular about who she trusts, attached to Lupe almost immediately — a testament to the warmth and security Lupe provides. In fact, we credit a significant share of our eldest daughter’s accomplishments and development to Lupe’s exceptional caregiving and affection over the last three years. Lupe was also unfailingly punctual and reliable, and she went well beyond her normal hours whenever we needed her. During my postpartum recovery, she came in every day to help put our toddler to sleep and worked weekends without hesitation, all so our family could get the support we needed during that time.
Additionally, Lupe has a wonderful personality and is a truly good person. She is warm, energetic, and highly sociable. Lupe’s personality set a loving tone for the character of our household. She is loved by our respective families, by the nannies who care for our daughter’s friends, and by the staff and teachers at our daughter’s school. Lupe is leaving our family only because our circumstances have changed, as we will require less childcare going forward. Lupe’s departure has left a hole in our lives and household, and she will be dearly missed.

Our beloved Isidora (Isi) is newly free to share in the growth of another lucky family! Since my daughter (Bayla Rose) was 5 months old (now over 12y) Isi has provided loving, educational, adventurous, reliable care. Come to think of it, not just for Bayla, but for our whole extended family. She was full-time with us through 2018, then part-time until 2024. Her latest family just moved out of the area so there is the rare opportunity to snap her up full-time for your child.
From tender babyhood through active toddler and school years Isi provided superb care for my daughter, our aging dog, and the whole family! She is the type of caregiver who didn’t just read to Bayla, she created a cozy, interactive, learning time with books–did the whole bit: voices, taught words in English and in Spanish while still giving Bayla room to identify pictures, letters and numbers for herself. Isi didn’t hesitate to roll around on the floor playing “sick” when Bayla was imagining she was a doctor for the umpteenth time.
Isi was the type of caregiver who orchestrated long, joyful days with Bayla assuming the responsibility of full-time parent while I was on shift for 12 hours at a stretch. Each day with us lasted over hours. During that time Isi independently navigated Bayla’s feeding, napping, and hygiene as an infant then when Bayla was older playdates, playground romps, in-home time with dolls, trucks, play kitchen stuff and other toys, not to mention artsy projects, meals, light housework, laundry, older kid personal hygiene and bedtime.
Always punctual, typically early, Isi frequently stayed late without a peep of complaint (as often happened since I work in a Pediatric ER.) She asked for help when (and if) she needed it and took instruction well, though she rarely needed that. In fact, she often kept Bayla on a more consistent playing, learning, eating, bathing, etc. schedule than I (her mother) managed to.
She is a loving and fun addition to our family and always professional. If Bayla weren’t in Middle School with minimal after-school care needs, I’d have kept Isi on full-time.

Lina is AMAZING. She has been crucial in my child’s development during the half a year she helped to make her blossom.
