Summer Memories

As summer draws to an end, I thought I would share with you a passage from one my favorite end-of-summer posts, written last year by Mommybites contributor Mina Mckiernan, as a letter to her daughters:

My hope for you is that this summer inspired you to travel as much as possible in life, to seek out people, places and experiences that are different from you; to be open-minded, curious and respectful human beings… As we all settle into our back-to-school routines, I’m excited for the fresh start that comes with a new school year… Try your best at everything and make an effort even when you don’t feel like it. Don’t be scared to ask for help and be a helper whenever you can. Be the best friend you can possibly be. Be kind. Be sweet. Be safe. Be happy. And please, always tell us everything about your days, your thoughts and your feelings…

Here’s to the end of summer and the memories that last a lifetime.
