Smilestone Update

    Find Family Friendly Activities

Something pretty amazing, crazy and wonderful has happened at Mommybites. You may recall a few weeks ago that I shared the news that we were starting a new “Smilestone” blog, written exclusively by children. The theme of this new blog was to encourage children to share their “smiletones” – which, as defined by one of our seven-year-old contributors, is when “something really important happens in your life and it makes you feel so good, you can’t stop smiling about it.”

Soon after the announcement, parents from around the country (and as far away as Hawaii!) started emailing me their children’s Smilestones! It has been my honor and my pleasure to read their stories. We featured our first official Smilestone last week from a little girl in Arkansas and plan to feature two each month from now on .

So, if you have a few extra minutes I welcome you to read, share and “like” these heart-warming stories. If your child, or any child you know, would like to share his or her Smilestone, please email me at heather@mommybites.com.

Here’s to little people with big, meaningful voices.
