In Gratitude

    Find Family Friendly Activities

    Hi Everyone!

As I was watching the Oscars with my hubby and 8 year-old son on Sunday night (whom I bribed into watching by offering them unlimited double chocolate chip cookies), I began to wonder who, in addition to my family, close friends and children,  I would thank during my imaginary Oscar acceptance speech?

Would I thank Ms. Goldstein, my glamorous 5th grade English teacher with her long black hair and zebra pumps (it was after all the 80s!), who turned to me one day and said, “Girl, you can really, really write! So write!” And so I did and have yet to stop! Or would I thank Nurse Janet, whose calmness, professionalism and humanity brought me endless comfort during the 8 years my best childhood friend fought cancer (guess who held my hand the day, at age 21, she finally lost that battle? Janet.).  Or, would it be Phoebe who, at age 4, was my first ever student as a newly trained learning specialist? Phoebe with her loyalty, childhood innocence and innate kindness ended up teaching me way more than I ever taught her. (Who, by the way, is now a stunning, popular 18 year-old thriving at university!).  I think I’d thank them all.

So here’s to all the people in our lives that have had profound and lasting affects on us and probably don’t even know it.

In addition to your family and close friends, who would you thank during your imaginary Oscar acceptance speech? Share you answer below as one of the ways you can be entered into our monthly raffle. There are many ways to enter our HUGE monthly raffle prize pack. Check out more details here.

    Best,
