Generations of Friendship

    Find Family Friendly Activities

So remember a few weeks ago I wrote about my roommate, Sharon, knowing that my turtle had escaped even though she was all the way in Arkansas? Well, the day after I posted that, I was in Ft. Lauderdale in my parents’ condo pool where I was with my boys for spring break. Out of nowhere, I felt a tap, tap, tap on my shoulder and turned to find- you guessed it- Sharon, whom I had not seen in two years!

It turns out, unbeknownst to either of us, that Sharon just happened to be visiting her relatives in the very same building where we were staying- at the very same time! Once we both stopped squealing in delight, Sharon told me that she and her husband kept commenting on how much the two boys that her two girls were playing with in the pool looked, “exactly like Jordan” – my husband. So much so that they finally decided it absolutely had to be our children!

Here’s to the fact that out of all the kids in the pool that day, our children found each other, thus continuing another generation of friendship.

    Cheers,

    Heather
