A Mother’s 12 Days of Christmas

    On the first day of Christmas, my child’s school gave to me two dozen cookies requested immediately.

    On the second day of Christmas, my child gave to me 2 homework assignments.

    On the third day of Christmas, my child’s school gave to me 3 classroom strep notices.

    On the fourth day of Christmas, my husband gave to me 4 co-workers to buy for.

    On the fifth day of Christmas, my family gave to me Fiiiiiiive strains of flu.

    On the sixth day of Christmas, my child’s school gave to me 6 days of Christmas break.

    On the seventh day of Christmas, my child gave to me 7 new presents a-wanted.

    On the eighth day of Christmas, my child’s school gave to me 8 library books a-missing.

    On the ninth day of Christmas, my husband gave to me 9 presents to wrap.

    On the tenth day of Christmas, my child gave to me 10 temper tantrums.

    On the eleventh day of Christmas, my mailman gave to me 11 UPS packages.

    On the twelfth day of Christmas, my family gave to me 12 nervous breakdowns!
