Dear Kindle,
As someone who loves reading, I must admit that I refused – and even mocked – you for many years. I just couldn’t imagine how reading was, well, reading – without holding the actual pages of a book. I would look at all the “youngsters” out there with their fancy “computer books” and shake my head with confusion and long for the good ol’ days.
And then… during the the last storm I did something crazy and bought you! And guess what? I like you. I really like you. I like that I can have my own little virtual book shelf waiting for me at my fingertips. And who knew (OK, probably everyone but me) that I can also watch all my favorite shows and movies (many for free, thank you Amazon Prime) all while cuddled up in my bed with headphones?
Now, don’t get all cocky. I will never abandon paper books completely, but it sure is fun to have you in my life too.
