OK, this is a question to all you mommies out there. What is the number one reason for not exercising, post-pregnancy? What is the most common obstacle you encounter when you’re trying to get back to the gym? There are a lot of hurdles to clear when getting back on the path to exercise, but the most significant variable is time, or lack thereof. Not only are you responsible for yourself now, but the entire existence of your little one rests squarely on your shoulders.

At Mind Over Matter Health and Fitness, we take our moms and their responsibility very seriously. One of our responsibilities is to cater to the mom lifestyle and recognize all the demands that are placed on New York City moms. What you need to do is remove as many excuses from your excuse list that we all have in our minds. What we need to do is cut down significantly on your commute time to the gym by turning your apartment into your own private gym. It might sound a little more daunting than it really is, but you can do any exercise at a gym right now in the privacy and comfort of your own home. And better: you can do these exercises in a better, more efficient, and result-driven manner.
Your body is essentially the only piece of exercise equipment you’ll ever need. Your body provides more resistance than you may realize. However much you weigh, that is how much weight you’re moving. Simple, non-weight-bearing exercises can be performed right on your living room floor: pushups, squats, abdominal work, lunges, arm raises, inner and outer thigh movements. With the guidance and instruction of a trainer, a simple workout program can be designed for you that can take all of 30 minutes. If you’re thinking about cardiovascular, spend the $3 on a jump rope. If you want to go outside, bike, walk, run, rollerblade, your choice. But outside of that, you can achieve everything you need without leaving your home. That’s not even to mention yoga and pilates, which are two fitness disciplines that achieve significant results without any equipment. There is an endless amount of videos out there, but why not schedule an appointment with a trainer?
This is an OptinMonster Form
Pros:
1) It connects directly to mailchimp, so the data can be read in both mailchimp and OptinMonster’s analytics dashboard.
2) We can assign it to specific pages, or place it in specific pages or locations on the site by pasting a shortcode into specific pages
Cons:
1) This form is not easy to build or style.
2) The fields or checkboxes that we add are determined by mailchimp, so we can’t add whatever we want, but rather we can only add what’s available.
3) Requires training to learn to build and set up form.
