I am obsessed with TED Talks. For those of you know don’t know about TED Talks, they are 20-minute, highly engaging videos on just about every topic out there. So you can imagine how I reacted when I started seeing people email and post about what they feel is “their favorite TED talk of all time.”

The video they were referring to is called, Violence Against Women – It’s a Men’s Issue by Jackson Katz. So I watched it. And so should a lot of people. The speaker, Jackson Katz, asks and addresses a very important question that gets at the root of why sexual abuse, rape and domestic abuse remain a problem: “What’s going on with men?”

Maybe not the lightest of topics to bring up in a mid-summer newsletter, but as mothers (and fathers) raising the next generation, it’s an important one.

Here’s to being leaders who raise leaders.
