Green Parenting: 2012 Green Gift Guide for Children

    Find Family Friendly Activities

It’s that time of year again when parents and grandparents go into full on shopping frenzy to find all of the perfect gifts for family and friends on their lists. The hype starts in November and reaches a fever pitch right about now. With Hanukkah starting this weekend and Christmas two weeks away, I thought it would be a good time to dive right into a green, eco-friendly Christmas wish list for the children in your life.

    Baby & Toddler

    1. Reusable snack bags on Etsy (like this one from Pineapple Spice)
    2. United by Blue toddler T-Shirt
    3. California Baby Party Aromatherapy Bubble Bath
    4. Miyim stroller toys
    5. Squooshi reusable food pouches
    6. Cashmere baby hat from Sesame Seed Designs
    7. Baby cloth wipes (like these from Curlymonkey)
    8. Green Toys blocks

    School-Age Kids

    1. Green Toys cookware and dining set
    2. Earthopoly board game
    3. Power House experiments kit
    4. Clementine Art gift set
    5. Plan Toys The Green Dollhouse
    6. The Lorax movie & book
    7. Strawsome Glass Straws
    8. Discover Rig by Sprig Toys

And as always, my favorite green gift of all is a ticket to an event or place you can enjoy with your little ones. There is no better way to create a lasting, memorable gift experience than gifting tickets to that favorite play, performance, show or destination. Those are the gifts that bring memories for years to come!

Come back next Friday for the adult wish list! And let me know if you have any suggestions by adding them in the comments below or emailing me.
