Empowering You With Safe & Natural Alternatives – Maty’s Baby Ointment: S.O.S. Product Review

Review by Jessie J. Rubin

MatysbabyointmentThere’s a lot of baby ointment out there – so what make’s Maty’s different? Well here’s what Maty’s founder, Carolyn Harrington (mother to daughter Maty – whom the company was named after), had to say:

“Your baby’s skin produces oils that naturally protect them from microbial attacks that help keep them healthy. Our Baby Ointment contains healthy oils that closely resemble the oil of their skin. It creates a moisture barrier while it promotes healing.

We tell Moms all the time that our skin absorbs approximately 60% of what we put on it. If you wouldn’t put it in your mouth, why would you put it on your skin? Our Baby Ointment is petroleum free and is a true natural alternative to using Vaseline.”

In fact, Mommybites co-founder Heather Ouida, swears by their cough syrup! And this is what Mommybites mom Jess Rubin had to say about their baby ointment:

I have used Maty’s Baby Ointment for the past several days on my 10-month-old son. I’ve been really happy with it, and have decided to keep it as a “go to” on my changing table.

I found the ointment virtually odorless and very soft/easy to spread. I used it in my son’s diaper area, under his nose to keep his skin soft during a bad cold, on a few light scratches on his face from his nails, and on his thigh creases.

I was really happy with the product and thought it was soothing on my son’s skin. I also love it for the creases caused by baby rolls – my son gets irritation/redness and I thought this product really helped. I love how it’s so easy to spread. I was very pleased with the product and am considering purchasing Maty’s baby chest rub.
