Happy Thanksgiving: We are thankful for…

Last year, the babybites team shared our their holiday traditions and memories. This year, we are sharing what were all thankful for.

  • My children and for the fact that they continue to be my greatest joy.
  • My husband and for the fact that he pays all the bills, deals with all the house stuff, plans all vacations, and to top it all off, he even does the dishes. (jealous much??)
  • My mom and dad and for the fact that they live so close that we go there for dinner every Friday night.
  • My career and for the fact that it continues to keep me engaged, motivated, and excited for each new day.
  • The people I work with and for the fact that they truly are all inspirational to me in their own way.
  • My partner, Heather, for introducing me to hot yoga, my new obsession.
  • Dunkin Donuts coffee each morning (light with half-n-half and 2 Splendas), Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (the BIG ones), & Entenmanns donuts with those little crumby things on top.
  • The A & P near me in NJ that actually makes it a pleasure to go food shopping.
  • Target
  • My almost four year old who finally poos in the potty.

  • That my sons aren’t too old to climb into bed with me each morning, that they have grown to be kind, caring and confident little boys and that 90% of the time they remember to put the seat down (which actually a higher percentage than my husband!).
  • That high boots are still in fashion, stretchy jeans, fun belts, costume jewelry and messenger bags.
  • That after 13 years of marriage I still enjoy date night with my hubby.
  • Grey’s Anatomy, Boardwalk Empire, The Real Wives of… (insert any city), Jon Stewart, World’s Deadliest Catch, The Today Show and just about anything on Bravo.
  • Hot yoga, work that I love with people that inspire me, friends that make me laugh, being a mom.
  • My parents, my in-laws and the family’s new African Sideneck turtle who brings me an embarrassing amount of joy.

Renee Sullivan, support group director

  • Sharing my days with all the inspiring, amazing, thoughtful, and warm gals that come through the groups.
  • Being happy and feeling that all is right with the world – that we are all where we need to be, right now.
  • Work that I love with smart savvy gals who are whimsical, engaging, and fun!
  • For the perfectly imperfect moments of motherhood that sprinkle (and sometimes storm) our days.
  • That I still hang with my high school friends – and still rock it out (minus the hairspray, banana clips and bangle bracelets!)
  • Curve balls! – whatever comes on by, I find there are always lessons to be learned, new pathways to travel.
  • 6AM snuggles with my five year old munchkin and sharing cappuccino – him the froth, me the coffee:)
  • Stumptown Coffee – my new favorite obsession!

Elise Jones, blog editor & social media director

  • My husband and daughters. Their love, understanding and support are unwavering in the highest of highs and lowest of lows and everything in between.
  • A smile from friends or strangers that always brightens my day.
  • Random acts of kindness.
  • The opportunity to do what I love day in and day out: write, create and connect.
  • My Southern heritage and my Southern family.
  • My brother who had dedicated his life to serving this country as a Marine.
  • My dear friends that bring welcomed breaks into my chaotic life!

And last but not least, we are all thankful for you, our babybites community. You are what keep us going, make us come back and continue to do what we do day in and day out. Thank you.
