Ahhhh, the mystery of blush. What color do I choose? What texture is best for my skin type? How and where do I apply blush?
Powder Blush – Best for normal to oily skin. Powder blush is best applied over a powder foundation or a powder compact.
- Application tip: Smile and apply with soft blush brush starting on apples of cheeks and blending up toward hair line.
- Product recommendation: Nars Blush “Orgasm”, peachy-pink with gold reflection, Universally flattering color
Cream Blush – Normal to dry skin. Cream blush is best applied on clean and dry skin or over a cream or liquid foundation.
- Application tip: Smile, dip finger into cream blush and apply to skin by tapping in a gentle circular motion.
- Product recommendation: Stila Convertible Color “Petunia”, sheer bright pink tone, Universally flattering color that can also be used on the lips.
Stick Blush – Normal to oily skin or sensitive skin (best choice for acne prone skin). Stick blush is best applied on clean, dry skin or over cream or liquid foundation, goes on as cream and dries to powder finish.
- Application tip: Smile and apply by pressing product from stick directly onto apple of cheek and gently blending with finger tips in a circular motion.
- Product recommendation: Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick “Rosey Blush”, a yellow pink rose, Universally flattering color
Cheek Stain: Normal to dry skin. Cheek stain is best applied on clean, dry skin.
- Application tip: Smile, apply directly to skin from applicator stick. Blend quickly (stain dries and sets onto skin within 15-20 seconds) and gently with finger tips in a circular motion.
