This is How 14 Celebrity Parents Are Handling Quarantine

Quarantine isn’t easy for anyone. Even major celebrities. And now that we’re officially two months into it, some celebs are starting to look more and more like regular people, right? Here’s how it’s going for some celeb parents at home with kiddos for the foreseeable future.

Homeschool’s going okay.”

Like most of us, Kristen Bell finds herself buried in children (and furbabies!) while trying to get through the day. Here she looks like she’s at her kitchen table ready to tackle something on her laptop, only to be surrounded by offspring, homeschool work, and multicolored cups!

“Scholastic distancing.”

Neil Patrick Harris is quarantined with his husband, 9-year-old twins, and a pair of pups. Instagram shows their lockdown experience has a little bit of everything from jumping jacks in the basement, to managing screentime, to gearing up for “scholastic distancing.”

“Welcome to the Party”

Gabrielle Union-Wade isn’t letting a lockdown get in the way of appreciating simple, good times with her young daughter at home. And she’s as excited as ever about the release of her new book, Welcome to the Party, all about welcoming a long-awaited baby.

Happy Birthday!

Even celeb kids celebrate birthdays in quarantine. Seth Meyers’ son Axel blew out two birthday candles this month, joining countless others who have to forego parties and presents this year.

Sprinkles, Coconut and Butterfinger

It’s no surprise that Chrissy Teigen is doing tons of cooking at home right now. And her two kids seem to be enjoying the fruits of her labor, especially chocolate banana pops with candy toppings!

Wash Your Hands

If Jimmy Fallon is your dada, you just might score a few extra laughs while stuck at home. Fallon is busy as ever keeping track of his two daughters while working from home and taking the dog for walks in between it all. He even performed a little ditty about washing hands to his children’s delight.

Utterly Exhausted

From storytime to bathtime, with lots of fundraising in between, Hilary Duff is moming to the max during this outbreak. And while we all don’t have pools to dive into at the end of a long day, her kids are still leaving her “utterly exhausted”.

Cooking…Everything!

Comedian and dad Jim Gaffigan is spending lots of his time at home in the kitchen these days. If you’re looking for a laugh, check out Let’s Get Cookin’ on YouTube, with plenty of previews on Instagram too.

Happy Mama

In addition to her usual at-home antics, Cardi B gives followers a peek of her little family gathering for Mother’s Day.

The New Normal

Mom of three Jessica Alba seems to be enjoying the extra time creating TikTok vids with her kids, exercising as a family, trying new skincare regimens, and going for neighborhood walks—fully masked of course.

Becoming A Baker

In between hosting IG Live workouts, making soup for those in need, and creating elaborate at-home obstacle courses, P!nk is making loaves of sourdough bread to enjoy with her family. Have you tried out the sourdough trend?

Just Dance

Jenna Dewan welcomed new baby Callum Michael Rebel Kazee just before the country started to shut down in mid-March. And she’s already back to wearing crop tops and dancing for TikTok. But she’s not to cool for sweats and kids’ movie dance parties. Go, Mom!

Feeling Fancy

She released a new song called “I Dare You,” teamed up with Wayfair to help Feeding America’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, and even got dolled up with her kids for a virtual baby shower and Mother’s Day celebration. Is there anything Kelly Clarkson can’t do in the time of coronavirus?

Homeschool Hack: Netflix

Being woken up to a child screaming “poopie pants!” Little ones cheating mercilessly at Candyland. Letting the kiddos watch Planet Earth on Netflix because it’s educational. Olivia Wilde is just like us!

Whitney C. Harris is a freelance writer and NYMetroParents’ Manhattan and Westchester calendar editor. She lives in Sleepy Hollow, NY, with her husband, a toddler, a preschooler, and a dog.
