Since we have so many free online classes coming up (in fact, it’s a downright bonanza!), we thought we would put a little color on them, since it’s sometimes hard to know what they are about from the title alone.
Breastfeeding Basics on 3/4
This class will provide tips to overcome some of the most common breastfeeding issues, such as mastitis, engorgement and milk supply concerns; help moms prepare to return to work as a breastfeeding mom; discuss how your partner, and other friends and family members, can support your breastfeeding goals.
Moving to the Suburban Jungle on 3/9
This class will go over such important points as timing- for example, when is the ideal time to leave urban life; childcare- how that will change and effect family dynamic; finances and the home you ultimately buy; Rent vs. Buy- what is the right way to get started; Working mom vs. Stay at home- towns and considerations; Main Street and Downtown- living in the suburbs and if it’s feasible, as well how to figure out school rankings in different areas.
Music Matters: Learning for the Hearts and Minds of Young Children on 3/18
During this teleclass, we will explore such issues as why music is an important part of life at home and in the classroom; how we can think about music developmentally; what musical intelligence is and how do I know if my child has it; what music has to do with relationship building and bonding; and how singing and reading impact each other.
Reclaiming Your Inner Zen in The Chaos of Motherhood on 3/31
